A special collaboration between the TV anime The Apothecary Diaries and Tokyo City View will take place at the Tokyo City View observation deck within Roppongi Hills from August 1 through October 26, 2026.

The event will offer fans a unique seasonal attraction that combines the world of the popular series with one of Tokyo’s most spectacular panoramic viewpoints.

The Apothecary Diaries has become one of Japan’s most successful entertainment franchises, with cumulative series sales exceeding 45 million copies worldwide.

The television adaptation first premiered in October 2023 and earned widespread acclaim for its engaging heroine Maomao, intricate mystery elements, richly detailed setting, and emotionally resonant storytelling.

The franchise celebrated the second anniversary of its television broadcast on October 22, 2025.

At that time, production was officially confirmed for both the anime’s third television season and the franchise’s first theatrical film.

The third season is scheduled to air as a split two-cour series beginning in October 2026, while the feature film is currently planned for release in December 2026.

Tokyo City View is located on the 52nd floor of the Roppongi Hills Mori Tower and stands approximately 250 metres above sea level.

The observation facility is renowned for its sweeping views across the Japanese capital, offering panoramic sights of landmarks such as Tokyo Tower and Tokyo Skytree through a glass-enclosed gallery featuring an 11-metre-high ceiling.

In addition to its scenic vistas, the venue regularly hosts exhibitions and cultural events throughout the year and includes souvenir shopping, cafés, and dining facilities that attract visitors from both Japan and overseas.

The collaboration has been built around the theme of “Night Sky” and “Dance.”

Using the dramatic setting of Tokyo City View’s elevated observation spaces, the event will present an enchanting visual interpretation of Maomao, Jinshi, and other characters performing amid a dreamlike atmosphere inspired by the night sky.

Special venue-exclusive staging will be used to create scenes that blend the city skyline with the elegant imagery associated with the anime.

This will be the first event dedicated specifically to the dance sequences featured within the series.

The exhibition area will feature displays that retrace the story’s journey through memorable scenes and notable dialogue from the anime.

Several exhibits making their public debut for the first time in Japan are also planned as part of the presentation.

Attendees will additionally be able to enjoy a variety of event-related content created specifically for the collaboration.

Exclusive original merchandise produced for the event will be available, although the complete product lineup has yet to be announced.
