Dragon Ball Z Revives an Iconic Namek Saga Villain in New S.H.Figuarts Release
A new Dragon Ball Z action figure is on the way from Bandai Spirits’ popular S.H.Figuarts line, bringing one of the Namek Saga’s most memorable villains back into collectors’ displays.
“S.H.Figuarts Recoome (Recoome of Hell)” recreates the towering Ginyu Force member with an entirely refreshed sculpt and upgraded articulation designed to better capture his appearance from the legendary Namek storyline.
Dragon Ball Z introduced Recoome as one of the five members of the Ginyu Force, an elite combat unit serving under Frieza and feared throughout the universe for its overwhelming strength and eccentric personalities.
During the battle for Planet Namek’s Dragon Balls, Recoome quickly established himself as one of the saga’s most dangerous opponents, overpowering Vegeta despite his considerable strength and subsequently defeating both Gohan and Krillin.
His combination of immense physical power, theatrical poses, and brutal combat style helped make him one of the Namek Saga’s most recognizable antagonists.
“S.H.Figuarts Recoome (Recoome of Hell)” recreates the character after enduring intense combat, depicting him in his damaged battle armor while emphasizing his massive muscular frame.
Standing approximately 20 cm tall, the figure highlights the scars and wear sustained during the fierce clashes on Namek, closely mirroring Recoome’s appearance from the anime.
The figure features a wide selection of interchangeable parts that allow collectors to display a variety of expressions ranging from comedic confidence to outright aggression.
Five alternate face plates are included, featuring a smug grin, a toothy smile, a shocked reaction, a powerful shouting expression, and a dedicated face designed specifically for recreating his signature Recoome Eraser Gun attack.
Additional accessories include interchangeable hair components and multiple hand options for recreating memorable moments from his battles.
An energy effect piece representing the Recoome Eraser Gun is also included, giving collectors the ability to stage some of the character’s most famous attacks from the series.
The updated articulation system is designed to support a wide range of dynamic poses, allowing fans to capture both Recoome’s over-the-top poses and explosive combat scenes.
For longtime Dragon Ball collectors, this new release offers a chance to add one of the Namek Saga’s most iconic villains to their display shelves in a form that emphasizes both accuracy and poseability.
Pre-orders for “S.H.Figuarts Recoome (Recoome of Hell)”, which is priced at ¥9,900 (approx. $67 USD/ £49 GBP), are now open via Premium Bandai, and shipping is currently scheduled for launch February 2027.
