Madoka Magica Reveals Exclusive New Amusement Park-Themed Merch Collection
Image by James RichardsonA new Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Walpurgisnacht Rising pop-up store and stand cafe is set to open this October, offering exclusive merchandise and character-themed food based on new amusement park artwork featuring Madoka, Homura, Sayaka, Kyoko, Mami and Nagisa.
The event will begin at Tree Village in Tokyo before heading to Osaka and Fukuoka in December, with the newly illustrated collection joined by a full collaboration menu and several store-exclusive products.
Puella Magi Madoka Magica originally aired in 2011, following Madoka Kaname and a group of magical girls whose seemingly straightforward supernatural powers come with increasingly severe consequences.
Walpurgisnacht Rising is the direct sequel to 2013’s Rebellion and opened in Japanese theaters on August 28, 2026, continuing the story of Madoka, Homura and the other magical girls more than a decade after the previous movie.
For the new event artwork, the six featured magical girls appear in an amusement park setting wearing animal ears and tails, with a carousel forming the backdrop to the main visual.
Available merchandise will include acrylic stands, metallic badges, stickers, canvas pouches, mugs, an acrylic panel and specially blended tea, alongside store-exclusive acrylic mirror keychains, a mesh bag and chocolate-and-nut sable cookies.
The accompanying stand cafe will offer six character-inspired food dishes and seven drinks, including Madoka-themed yakisoba, Sayaka’s hamburger box, Homura’s fruit crepe and drinks inspired by each of the six magical girls as well as Kyubey.
Each food or drink order will include one randomly selected original coaster from six designs while supplies last, with customers limited to five menu items per transaction.
Most of the merchandise is also being sold through the Animaru online store across two reservation periods, although the acrylic mirror keychains, mesh bag and sable cookies will remain exclusive to the physical Tree Village locations.
The first online reservation period runs through November 15 with shipping planned for late December, while a second round will open from November 17 through December 17 for delivery in early February 2027.
Entry restrictions using numbered tickets may be introduced on opening days or during busy periods, with the Tokyo venue using LINE-based digital tickets whenever controlled admission is required.
The Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Walpurgisnacht Rising POP UP STORE & STAND CAFE will run at Tree Village Tokyo from October 17 through November 13, 2026 before opening simultaneously at Tree Village Osaka and Tree Village Hakata from December 5 through December 17.
The Tokyo shop will operate from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM with the cafe open from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM, while the Osaka and Hakata locations will follow the operating hours of their respective Tree Village stores.
