MAPPA Announces Yuri!!! on ICE 10th Anniversary Projects

MAPPA has officially announced a number of new projects as the hit figure skating anime “Yuri!!! on ICE” begins to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
A stunning piece of commemorative artwork, a massive new Blu-ray box set, and a large-scale exhibition event have all been unveiled as part of the decade celebration projects.
Originally aired back in October 2016, the hit series created by Mitsurou Kubo and Sayo Yamamoto took the anime community by storm.
The story follows the emotional revival of Japanese skater Yuri Katsuki as he is guided by his charismatic coach and five-time world champion Victor Nikiforov into the intense pressure of the Grand Prix series.

It earned massive acclaim for its breathtaking, realistic skating choreography designed by real life professional Kenji Miyamoto.
This production utilized dynamic camera angles impossible to replicate in live sports broadcasts to allow each competitor to truly express their life story on the rink.

Kicking off the decade celebration is a stunning new commemorative visual illustrated by the show’s original character designer, Tadashi Hiramatsu.
The artwork captures the intense emotional energy of the Grand Prix Final free skate, gathering the core roster of competitors together on the ice at a decisive moment of passion and rivalry.

Yuri Katsuki is joined by fierce competitors Yuri Plisetsky, Otabek Altin, Christophe Giacometti, Jean-Jacques Leroy, and Phichit Chulanont, alongside Victor Nikiforov.
This dynamic new illustration will also serve as the jacket cover design for a newly announced 10th anniversary Blu-ray box set.
The “Yuri!!! on ICE 10th anniversary SPECIAL Blu-ray and CD BOX Limited Quantity Edition” packs a massive compilation of content across a nine disc setup.

The four disc Blu-ray portion re-collects the original series episodes alongside their standalone audio commentaries.
Fans can look forward to an incredible piece of newly filmed special footage specifically created for this release, where Swiss figure skating legend Stéphane Lambiel performs a real-life rendition of Yuri Katsuki’s free skate program.

A dedicated bonus disc compiles creditless opening and ending sequences, choreography videos by Kenji Miyamoto, and Yuri Plisetsky’s “Welcome to The Madness” Barcelona exhibition performance.
It also holds behind-the-scenes recording footage featuring Lambiel alongside the concert event video “Yuri!!! on CONCERT”.

The musical portion spans five discs, archiving the original skate song collection with iconic themes like “History Maker” and “You Only Live Once”.
The set brings together the complete original soundtrack, live concert audio tracks, and a special enclosed single disc featuring Yuri Katsuki’s free skating theme song composed by Taro Umebayashi.

On the physical side, the premium box comes loaded with a film book style special booklet and an illustration card set by original creator Mitsurou Kubo.
Premium replica pieces designed to immerse fans back into the series are packed inside, including a replica airline ticket, Yuri’s personal free skate jump composition memo, and a reproduction of the Grand Prix Series press conference news article.

Early plans are also underway to host a large-scale exhibition event this coming winter, with more details to be announced by the organizers in the near future.
For those looking to celebrate immediately, exclusive 55mm round stickers featuring the new anniversary visual will be distributed to attendees at the upcoming “Taiyo Seimei Presents Fantasy on Ice 2026 in MAKUHARI” event.

Distribution will take place inside the Makuhari Event Hall starting from when the doors open until the performance begins on May 30 and May 31, 2026.
These limited items are restricted to one per ticket holder on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

The “Yuri!!! on ICE” 10th anniversary SPECIAL Blu-ray and CD BOX Limited Quantity Edition is priced at 41,800 yen (approx. $265 USD / £210 GBP), and pre-orders are available through a variety of retailers, including Amazon Japan and HMV.
