Burger King x Hello Kitty and Friends Collab Leaks Ahead of October US Launch

Burger King is getting ready to team up with Hello Kitty and Friends for a new US collaboration, with leaked promotional materials confirming a nationwide campaign launching this October.
The upcoming promotion has not yet been publicly announced by Burger King or Sanrio, but images from official Burger King materials supplied to franchisees have confirmed that the collaboration is in the works.
Popular food news account @mnmtwinz has also shared an early look at the campaign, continuing their track record of revealing upcoming restaurant collaborations and limited-time releases before their official announcements.
The leaked material shows that collectible blind-box toys will form the main part of the collaboration, with early images featuring several familiar Sanrio characters including Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll and Keroppi.
The figures lean heavily into Burger King’s fast-food theme, with characters appearing alongside items associated with the chain, including a Keroppi design featuring a serving of nuggets.

Hello Kitty will also reportedly receive a harder-to-find gold variant, adding a chase figure to the blind-box lineup for anyone planning to collect the full set.
Full details covering how the toys will be distributed have not yet been revealed, but it seems likely that they will be part of a King Jr. Meals promotion.

The collaboration arrives only a few months after Hello Kitty and Friends appeared in another major US fast-food campaign, with McDonald’s launching its Godzilla crossover Happy Meal in August.

It became one of several food-focused Sanrio collaborations released during 2026, with KFC Thailand recently launching its own blind-box collection featuring Cinnamoroll, My Melody, Pompompurin and Kuromi alongside a secret Hello Kitty design.
Image by James RichardsonSanrio has also leaned into fast-food imagery through its “Kawaii YumYum MART Diner” merchandise series, which transformed characters into playful diner-inspired plushies including burgers, fries and other familiar menu items.

Burger King itself has already worked with Hello Kitty and Friends elsewhere during 2026, with its French restaurants offering blind-box character socks and a series of Sanrio-themed King Jr. Meal games earlier in the year.

The upcoming US campaign appears to take a different approach by focusing on collectible figures, while giving Burger King its own major Hello Kitty promotion shortly after the character’s recent McDonald’s crossover.
According to the franchisee promotional material, the “Burger King x Hello Kitty and Friends” collaboration is currently set to run across the US from October 10 through November 30, 2026.

No wider release outside the US has been confirmed as yet, while Burger King has also not publicly revealed the complete toy lineup, participating restaurants, or any accompanying food and drink items.
With the campaign still several weeks away, those remaining details are likely to become clearer once Burger King and Sanrio officially announce the collaboration.
