Sanrio’s New Official KFC Collab Features an Exclusive New Figure Every Week
Image by James RichardsonKFC Thailand has officially teamed up with Sanrio for a new limited-time collaboration featuring blind box keychains of Cinnamoroll, My Melody, Pompompurin, Kuromi and a secret Hello Kitty design.
The “KFC | SANRIO CHARACTERS” collection gives each character their own KFC-inspired makeover, with the keychains depicting them popping out from miniature versions of the chain’s recognizable red-and-white chicken bucket.

Rather than releasing the four main designs at the same time, KFC is rotating the featured character every week throughout the campaign, giving fans a limited window to collect each one.

Cinnamoroll launched the collaboration from August 27 through September 2, with My Melody currently taking over for the second wave from September 3 through September 9.

Pompompurin will follow from September 10 through September 16, before Kuromi closes out the collection from September 17 through September 23.

Hello Kitty works slightly differently from the rest of the lineup, appearing as the secret character hidden randomly inside blind boxes throughout all four weeks of the promotion.

This means each box normally gives fans the character assigned to that week’s release, but there is also a chance that it will instead contain the harder-to-find Hello Kitty design.

The collaboration was created as part of KFC Thailand’s celebrations for Colonel Sanders’ birthday month and follows the company’s previous Baby Sanders Collection, continuing its recent focus on collectible merchandise that can also be used as everyday accessories.
Sanrio has also been expanding its presence across restaurant collaborations throughout 2026, with recent campaigns including Hello Kitty’s first collaboration with Sushiro and the Hapidanbui group’s summer partnership with Subway Japan.

Fans in Thailand can purchase one Sanrio blind box keychain for ฿89 (approximately $3 USD / £2 GBP) when buying an eligible KFC bucket set priced at ฿299 or more (approximately $9 USD / £7 GBP).

Three KFC locations have also received dedicated Sanrio decorations for the campaign, with themed displays appearing at KFC Ekkamai, Samyan Mitrtown and the Kaset-Nawamin Drive-Thru.

The “KFC | SANRIO CHARACTERS” collaboration runs through September 23, 2026 or while stocks last, with the promotion available at KFC locations across Thailand except the Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi Airport branches.

Eligible orders can also be placed through KFC Thailand’s website and app alongside participating food delivery platforms, giving fans another way to collect the weekly designs without visiting a restaurant directly.
