BLEACH’s Best Official Soi Fon Figure Finally Returns After 4 Years
Image by Charlotte DavisFigure manufacturer MegaHouse has officially announced a re-release for one of its most sought after BLEACH figures, with 2nd Division captain Soi Fon set to return several years after her first release.
The returning figure comes from MegaHouse’s GALS Series and recreates Soi Fon during her confrontation with former commander Yoruichi Shihouin during the Soul Society arc.
Soi Fon serves as both captain of the Gotei 13’s 2nd Division and commander-in-chief of the Onmitsukido, specializing in stealth, speed, and close-range combat through techniques developed during her time serving under Yoruichi.
Their complicated relationship becomes one of the character’s defining storylines during the Soul Society arc, when Yoruichi returns after years away, and the two eventually clash directly.
MegaHouse based the figure around that encounter, capturing Soi Fon in the middle of the fight rather than using a conventional standing pose.
Her captain’s haori has been removed and is held behind her as her body twists into a combat stance, while the sculpt uses the movement of her hair and hakama to make the pose feel as though it has been pulled directly from the battle.
Her Zanpakuto, Suzumebachi, is reproduced around the middle finger of her right hand in its released form, recreating the compact weapon she uses to mark an opponent before delivering a second strike to the same location.
The finished figure stands approximately 24 cm tall and was sculpted by Nekomaru of Yamanekotei ~nekohouse~, with paintwork handled by Taumokei and Pinpoint.
MegaHouse originally released the limited “GALS Series BLEACH Soi Fon” figure in January 2022, making the newly announced production run another opportunity to secure the same sculpt more than four years after its initial arrival.
Its return follows several other recent BLEACH figure announcements, including Bandai’s first official figure of Yoruichi in her lightning-powered Thunder Beast form from Thousand-Year Blood War.
Bandai has also revealed the first official figure based on Toshiro Hitsugaya after his Bankai transforms him into his adult form, with the release forming part of the upcoming “BLEACH Stirring Souls vol.5” Ichiban Kuji lineup.
That same collection will introduce a new Ichigo Kurosaki figure based on his Blood Chains appearance, adding another previously unrepresented version of the protagonist to BLEACH’s expanding range of collectibles.
Pre-orders for the re-released “GALS Series BLEACH Soi Fon” figure are scheduled to begin on September 11 through a limited selection of retailers.
The original January 2022 release was priced at ¥17,380 (approximately $111 USD / £82 GBP), although MegaHouse has not yet confirmed the price or release date for the new production run.
