Bkub Okawa x Danganronpa collab plushies set to go on sale this month
A new range of Danganronpa plushies, based on unique designs by Pop Team Epic creator Bkub Okawa, are set to be released.
Empty, a well known character goods manufacturer, revealed the new range and confirmed the release date earlier today via social media.
These adorably cute plush figures are set to launch exclusively at specific stores in Japan later this June.
Danganronpa, developed by Spike Chunsoft, is a visual novel and adventure game franchise known for its psychological thriller narrative centered around “killing games” among elite high school students trapped in secluded environments.
The series is characterized by its dark humor, mystery elements, and a distinct, stylized art direction.
Bkub Okawa, on the other hand, is celebrated for the irreverent humor, chaotic pacing, and simplified yet expressive art style of Pop Team Epic, which frequently breaks the fourth wall and incorporates internet meme culture.
This collaboration merges the distinct aesthetics of the Danganronpa universe with Okawa’s signature artistic approach.
The plushie collection will feature a total of 12 characters, encompassing a wide range of characters from across the Danganronpa game series.
The characters included in this new release are:
- Makoto Naegi (Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc)
- Kyoko Kirigiri (Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc)
- Byakuya Togami (Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc)
- Junko Enoshima (Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc)
- Hajime Hinata (Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair)
- Nagito Komaeda (Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair)
- Chihiro Fujisaki (Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc)
- Kaede Akamatsu (Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony)
- Shuichi Saihara (Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony)
- Kokichi Oma (Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony)
- Monokuma (Series Mascot/Antagonist)
- Shirokuma (Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls)
These exclusive plushies will initially only be available for purchase at select physical retail locations in Japan.
In Tokyo, fans can find them at:

- AmiAmi Ikebukuro store
- Kotobukiya Akihabara store
- Kotobukiya Tachikawa store
For those residing in Osaka, the products will also be available at:
- Kotobukiya Nipponbashi Outlet
The “Bkub Okawa x Danganronpa” plushies will launch on the 27th of June, 2025 at the aforementioned stores.
As of yet, there is no confirmed online sales channel for the plushies, however this may change as many of Empty’s products are offered by hobby goods stockists.
In some cases, online sales only occur after the initial physical release, so there may still be some hope for Danganronpa fans outside of Japan who want to collect these adorable versions of their favorite characters.
