Official Animal Crossing Nature Vacation Experience Set to Open in Japan this April

A new collaboration event has been announced that is set to bring the relaxing gameplay of Animal Crossing to the real world.

The “Animal Crossing: New Horizons x Tokyu Resort Town Tateshina: Let’s Tour Nature, Tateshina’s Forest” event invites fans to enjoy outdoor activities inspired by the popular life simulation game.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons allows players to escape to a deserted island, where they can build a customized home, catch local wildlife, and craft various items from gathered materials.

This new interactive event aims to replicate that peaceful experience by utilizing the rich natural environment of the Tokyu Resort Town Tateshina.

Located in the scenic highlands of Nagano Prefecture, the resort facility offers a perfect backdrop for outdoor exploration.

Visitors can purchase a specialized mission book that guides them through a variety of hands-on activities scattered across the expansive property.

Participants can enjoy fishing in mountain streams, observing the starry night sky, building campfires, and creating unique wooden crafts.

The organizers hope to provide an accessible way for both children and adults to interact with nature and deepen their understanding of the local environment.

Fans can also look forward to an exclusive lineup of collaboration merchandise featuring familiar characters from the video game.

Special accommodation plans that include the mission book are also available for guests staying at the Tateshina Tokyu Hotel or the Hotel Harvest Tateshina Annex.

Sales for the exclusive merchandise and the mission book will be handled at various retail shops within the Tokyu Resort Town property.

To celebrate the launch, a special two-day pop-up event will also be held at the Shibuya Sakura Stage building in Tokyo.

This brief city exhibition will run from Saturday, April 18 to Sunday, April 19, 2026, offering visitors a chance to purchase the mission book and experience a small taste of the resort’s nature.

The main “Animal Crossing: New Horizons x Tokyu Resort Town Tateshina” collaboration event will officially begin on Saturday, April 18, 2026.

The outdoor activities will remain available at the resort through Monday, July 20, 2026.
