Heroes Of Might And Magic: Olden Era Early Access Starts April 30

Publishers Ubisoft and Hooded Horse, alongside developer Unfrozen, announced that Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era will launch in Early Access on April 30, 2026.
The game will be available for PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store, and it will also be included in the PC Game Pass library on the same day.
This new installment is set on the continent of Jadame within the world of Enroth, serving as a prequel to the events of the original 1995 title.
The Early Access version will feature six factions, including the Temple, Dungeon, Schism, Grove, Necropolis, and Hive.
Players can expect a variety of gameplay options at launch, such as the first act of the non-linear narrative campaign and several premade scenarios.
Three primary multiplayer modes will be available: the standard Classic mode, a high-stakes One-Hero Mode, and a combat-focused Arena mode.
The title includes modern features such as matchmaking, ranked leaderboards, and a random map generator to enhance replayability.
A dedicated map editor will be included in a pre-release state, allowing users to create and share their own custom adventures.
Combat remains true to the series’ roots by utilizing a hexagonal battlefield and an orthographic camera while introducing new active abilities for units and heroes.
To celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary, the developers plan to remain in Early Access for approximately one year to incorporate community feedback before the full release.
The studio confirmed that additional campaign acts, new map templates, and an underground map layer are planned for the final version of the game.
