State Of Decay 3 Alpha Tests Start in May
Xbox Game Studios and developer Undead Labs announced on April 3, 2026, that alpha testing for the highly anticipated State of Decay 3 will begin in May 2026.
Registration for the testing phase is currently open to the public through the game’s official website.
The upcoming title was first revealed in 2020 and received its most recent significant update in 2024.
Brant Fitzgerald of Undead Labs confirmed that the alpha tests will showcase four player cooperative gameplay alongside updated base building mechanics and resource management strategies.
Participants can expect a heavy emphasis on combat as they navigate the challenges of a zombie outbreak.
Undead Labs indicated that those not selected for the initial May 2026 round will remain on the list for future testing opportunities throughout the year.
