Unreleased Gundam GQuuuuuuX figure updated with new parts after anime’s conclusion

BANDAI SPIRITS has released exciting new details regarding a new addition to its premium METAL ROBOT Spirits figure range.
The new “METAL ROBOT SPIRITS <SIDE MS> GQuuuuuuX” figure will now include additional parts designed to replicate the mobile suit’s powerful “Omega Psycommu Release” and “Endymion Unit Awakening” forms.

This will allow fans to display it as it appeared in the final episode of the “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX” television anime series.

It will join other Gundams recently announced as part of the METAL ROBOT Spirits line-up including the RX-78-02 Gundam (GQ), Red Gundam, Legend Gundam and GFreD.

“Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX” is the latest anime series in the Gundam franchise, which is currently celebrating its 45th anniversary.

The series initially debuted as a theatrical film in January 2025 before transitioning to a weekly TV anime broadcast from April to June of this year.
It has been particularly popular with fans, as it was set in an alternate Universal Century timeline where the Principality of Zeon achieved victory in the historic One Year War.

This divergence from the established lore has allowed for fresh interpretations of classic “Gundam” themes and introduced new characters and mobile suit designs.

The plot revolves around Amate Yuzuriha, a high school student nicknamed “Machu,” who finds herself drawn into dangerous underground mobile suit duels known as “Clan Battles,” piloting the unique prototype mobile suit, the gMS-Ω GQuuuuuuX.

The “Endymion Unit Awakened” form of the GQuuuuuuX, marked a key moment in the anime’s twelfth and final episode.

The “Omega Psycommu Release” and “Endymion Unit Awakening” forms dramatically enhance the mobile suit’s performance, leading to the visually striking changes due to its opened head and additional glowing effects on its shoulders and knees.

The METAL ROBOT Spirits line, produced by BANDAI SPIRITS’ Tamashii Nations division, is a premium series of action figures highly regarded by collectors for its exceptional quality.

These figures stand out due to their liberal use of die-cast metal parts in critical joints and structural areas, which imbues them with a substantial weight, enhanced durability, and a luxurious tactile feel that elevates them above standard plastic action figures.

METAL ROBOT Spirits figures also feature intricate sculpting, accurate proportions, and extensive articulation, allowing for a vast range of dynamic and authentic poses that faithfully reproduce scenes from the anime.

The “METAL ROBOT SPIRITS <SIDE MS> GQuuuuuuX” is scheduled for a general release in August 2025 with a price tag of 22,000 yen (approximately $151 USD / £110 GBP).
