The Pokémon Company postpones ticket sales for 2026 World Championships

The Pokémon Company has announced that it is postponing the sale of multi-day passes for its two major upcoming global events, “Pokémon XP” and the “Pokémon World Championships 2026” (WCS2026).
In a statement, the company said, “In order to provide a more fulfilling experience for fans worldwide, we have decided to postpone the sale of multi-day passes for ‘Pokémon XP’ and the ‘Pokémon World Championships 2026’.”

The ticket sales were originally scheduled to begin in two waves on Wednesday, the 17th of September, 2025.
“Pokémon XP” is a brand-new, large-scale fan festival that is scheduled to be held concurrently with the annual Pokémon World Championships.

The new event is planned to feature a variety of activities such as panel discussions, unique workshops, special guest appearances, and the sale of exclusive, commemorative merchandise.
The Pokémon World Championships is the official, final tournament of the competitive season, where top players from around the world compete in the video games and the trading card game to be crowned a world champion.

This new, combined event is designed to create a massive, multi-day celebration of the entire Pokémon franchise, catering to both competitive players and the general fanbase.

A new date for the start of the ticket sales has not yet been announced.
The company has stated that further details will be provided as soon as they are decided, and has apologized for the inconvenience caused by the delay.

The “Pokémon XP” and “Pokémon World Championships 2026” are scheduled to be held simultaneously at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California.
The event is planned to run from Friday, the 28th of August, to Sunday, the 30th of August, 2026.
