Hatsune Miku and FILA’s Fourth Collab Collection Brings Back a Forgotten ’90s Sneaker
Image by James RichardsonHatsune Miku and FILA are teaming up once again, with their fourth collaboration bringing back one of the sportswear brand’s harder-to-find sneakers from the late 1990s.
The new release revives FILA’s SILVA TRAINER with two Miku-inspired color schemes, combining the sneaker’s retro-futuristic shape with the blue-green and pink colors closely associated with the virtual singer.

Hatsune Miku first debuted in 2007 as Crypton Future Media’s singing voice software before developing into a global virtual singer supported by an enormous community of musicians, illustrators and other creators.

Fashion has become an increasingly important part of Miku’s wider merchandise and collaboration lineup, with her constantly changing appearance allowing brands to reinterpret her through everything from loungewear to sneakers.

Miku and FILA have already collaborated several times, with their previous third wave introducing another sneaker collection through Japanese streetwear marketplace SNKRDUNK in 2025.

FILA has also commissioned a completely new illustration from artist Waka Sakauchi for this latest release, showing Miku wearing the SILVA TRAINER with sporty styling as she appears to leap through the sky.

The fourth project is built around the Japanese concept of “Onko Chishin,” which means to look back at something from the past and use it to create something new.
That makes the SILVA TRAINER a fitting choice, as the once-popular sneaker has been pulled from FILA’s archives for a modern revival while retaining the futuristic styling that originally set it apart.

The model also brings back FILA’s “2A Technology” developed during the late 1990s, using a dual-sole double cushioning system designed to provide additional comfort while walking.

Miku’s influence can be seen throughout both versions, with blue-green and pink accents worked into the sneakers alongside a translucent midsole that reinforces the futuristic appearance.
The tongue carries the embroidered message “The first sound from the future,” while a silhouette of Miku appears around the heel counter as a more direct reference to the collaboration.

Fans will be able to choose between White and Black versions of the “SILVA TRAINER × MIKU,” with each offering a very different take on the same Miku-inspired design.
The White version pairs a clean white upper with blue-green and bright pink accents, putting Miku’s signature colors at the forefront of the sneaker.

Its Black counterpart uses a much darker upper while retaining the same blue-green and pink highlights, giving fans an alternative that places the collaboration details against a more understated base.

Fans who reserve either version during the advance preorder period will receive an exclusive A5 clear file featuring Sakauchi’s newly drawn Miku artwork.

Both the White and Black “SILVA TRAINER × MIKU” are priced at ¥18,700 each (approx. $117 USD / £86 GBP), with preorders available through the FILA official online store, Snow Miku Sky Town online store, atmos, mita sneakers, Herringbone Footwear and BOSTON CLUB from September 1 through September 20.

Both Hatsune Miku x FILA SILVA TRAINER models are currently scheduled to ship in March 2027, although orders placed through the Snow Miku Sky Town online store are expected to begin shipping from April 9.
