Owala Reveals New and Exclusive Pokémon Water Bottle Collection
Image by James RichardsonPokémon and Owala have teamed up for a new collection of character-themed water bottles, bringing Pikachu, Charizard, Gengar and more to the drinkware brand’s popular FreeSip range.
The “Owala x Pokémon” collection will be released exclusively through Target in the US, with five different designs combining familiar Pokémon with the bright colors and illustrated finishes often seen across Owala’s special-edition bottles.

Owala has become well known for its FreeSip bottles, which use a two-way spout that lets you either drink upright through an integrated straw or tilt the bottle back and use the wider opening.

The stainless steel bottles also feature insulated construction, a leak-resistant push-button lid and a carry loop that doubles as a lock when closed.

Pikachu leads the new Pokémon collection with a bright blue bottle covered by large artwork of the Electric-type mascot, while yellow details and contrasting colors across the lid continue the character’s familiar palette.

Another design focuses on Eevee and its evolutions, giving one of Pokémon’s most popular evolutionary families its own bottle rather than limiting the collection to individual characters.

Charizard takes over one of the bolder designs, appearing across a dark blue bottle surrounded by orange, red and yellow graphics that resemble flames, with the contrasting colors continuing across the lid.

Gengar provides a darker option built around purple and black coloring, matching the Ghost-type Pokémon’s mischievous appearance and offering something very different from the brighter Pikachu and Charizard designs.

The final bottle brings together the original Kanto starter trio, with Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle appearing throughout a repeating pattern alongside Poké Balls and symbols connected to their Grass, Fire and Water types.

The choice of those three Pokémon also fits neatly with Pokémon’s ongoing 30th anniversary celebrations, which have repeatedly looked back at the beginning of the series and the original choice between Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle.

One Pokémon Center release took that nostalgia much further with the “Game Package” collection, transforming artwork from the franchise’s mainline games into T-shirts, keychains and other merchandise covering generations from the original Game Boy through Nintendo Switch.

Pokémon has also continued its region-by-region “Timeless Adventure” anniversary series, which most recently reached Alola with a new collection starring Rowlet, Litten and Popplio relaxing together on Mantine.

Another recent collaboration with Japan’s BOSS Coffee has placed dozens of Pokémon across limited-edition drink cans and bottles, alongside anniversary prizes including an oversized Psyduck pillow and a huge Clodsire cushion.

The new Owala collection adds to a busy year for Pokémon lifestyle collaborations, giving US fans another way to celebrate the franchise through something designed for everyday use.

Target has confirmed that the “Owala x Pokémon” collection will officially launch on September 16, 2026, with the range being promoted as an “Only at Target” release.
Some bottles have already appeared on shelves at individual Target locations ahead of the official launch, although early availability appears to vary between stores.

Early sightings indicate that at least some of the designs use Owala’s smaller 16oz FreeSip format, but Target has not yet published complete individual product listings confirming the final sizes, prices or online availability for all five bottles.
No release outside the US has currently been announced, with the collection so far confirmed specifically as a Target-exclusive launch.
