ONE PIECE Reveals First-Look at Blackbeard in New Official “Legendary Yonko” Series
Image by James RichardsonOne Piece’s Blackbeard is getting a huge new 1/6 scale statue, with JIMEI PALACE recreating the pirate at the height of his power as the first release in their new officially licensed “Legendary Yonko Series”.
The “BLACKBEARD Marshall D. Teach 1/6 Collectible Statue” captures his New World appearance and will be offered in two versions, with both surrounding the Four Emperor with effects inspired by his Devil Fruit abilities and Conqueror’s Haki.
Marshall D. Teach began his rise as a member of the Whitebeard Pirates before murdering Fourth Division Commander Thatch to steal the Dark-Dark Fruit, eventually defeating Ace on Banaro Island and handing him over to the World Government.
Those events helped set the Summit War in motion, where Blackbeard later appeared at Marineford and somehow stole the Tremor-Tremor Fruit power from the deceased Whitebeard, making him the only known character capable of wielding two Devil Fruit abilities at once.
He subsequently rose to become one of the Four Emperors, transforming the Blackbeard Pirates into one of the major powers competing for control of the seas during the final stages of the story.
JIMEI PALACE recreates that later appearance with a broad physique, gap-toothed grin, layers of jewelry and an oversized pirate hat, while the flowing beard and orange coat help give the sculpt a stronger sense of movement.
Black flame effects representing the Dark-Dark Fruit wrap around Blackbeard’s left arm and continue across the broken terrain beneath him, with red lightning effects referencing the Conqueror’s Haki he has more recently demonstrated.
The Echo Version measures approximately 45cm wide, 38cm deep and 51cm tall, making it a substantial display piece even before moving up to the larger Collector’s Edition.
The Premium Version expands the scene to approximately 55cm wide, 42cm deep and 52cm tall while adding another effect piece around Blackbeard’s left arm to represent the Tremor-Tremor Fruit.
Clear material with pale blue paint is used to create the appearance of the air cracking apart around his fist, recreating the visual effect associated with the devastating power he stole from Whitebeard.
Additional smoke and debris effects build out the larger base, while the black flames and red lightning from the standard display remain incorporated into the scene.
One smaller detail hidden among the rubble is Trafalgar Law’s hat, referencing Blackbeard’s more recent battle against the Heart Pirates and giving the Collector’s Edition a direct connection to another major confrontation from the manga.
The reveal continues JIMEI PALACE’s recent expansion of its high-end One Piece lineup, which has also included a new 1/6 scale Roronoa Zoro statue from its Legendary Straw Hat Crew Series based on his “King of Hell” transformation during the battle against King.
The manufacturer has also explored Zoro through a very different premium release created with CosmicCreations, using platinum silicone and a seamless body construction to recreate his post-timeskip appearance as a 1/6 scale articulated figure.
Elsewhere, One Piece collectors have recently seen another high-end release revisit Luffy’s Gear Fourth “Bounce-Man” transformation, with MegaHouse preparing a new 10th anniversary version of its large Portrait.Of.Pirates SA-MAXIMUM figure.
The Echo Version of the “BLACKBEARD Marshall D. Teach 1/6 Collectible Statue” is priced at $539, while the larger Premium Version is priced at $655, with pre-orders now open through the official JIMEI PALACE online store.
Both are currently expected to release during the second quarter of 2027, placing their estimated arrival between April and June.
