Digimon’s Godzilla Collab Officially Returns with Exclusive New WarGreymon Release
Image by Charlotte DavisDigimon and Godzilla’s monstrous crossover is expanding once again, with a new figure from manufacturer PLEX set to recreate WarGreymon’s Godzilla-infected “G” Erosion Mode.
The “DEFOREAL WarGreymon: ‘G’ Erosion Mode” adapts the unusual collaboration design into the compact, heavily stylized proportions associated with the DEFOREAL figure series while retaining the detailed textures of both WarGreymon and Godzilla.

WarGreymon’s altered form originated with the Digital Monster COLOR Godzilla 70th Edition, which brought Digimon and Toho’s kaiju together as part of the celebrations surrounding Godzilla’s 70th anniversary.

The crossover imagines Godzilla’s powerful G-cells infecting the Digicores of familiar Digimon, producing mutated evolutions that combine recognizable elements from both franchises.

WarGreymon: “G” Erosion Mode retains much of the familiar appearance of the Mega-level Digimon while parts of its body are overtaken by Godzilla’s genetic material, creating an uneven fusion of armored Digimon and kaiju features.
The new DEFOREAL figure emphasizes the transformation across part of the torso and the left side of the body, where WarGreymon’s normal appearance gradually gives way to Godzilla’s rough, dark skin.

Large pinkish-purple dorsal fins grow from the mutated areas, immediately connecting the design to the King of the Monsters while creating a much more imposing profile than the standard WarGreymon.
WarGreymon’s own features remain prominent elsewhere, including the metallic Dramon Killers mounted over its left arm and the Brave Shield associated with the Crest of Courage.

Clear materials and bright paint applications are also used around the corrupted sections and dorsal fins to emphasize the energy contained within the transformation.
This isn’t the first time PLEX has turned WarGreymon’s infected form into a physical collectible, with the company previously releasing a much larger version through its Toho Large Monsters Series.

The DEFOREAL range has already explored other Digimon created for the original Godzilla crossover, including MetalGreymon: “G” Erosion Mode, which received its own compact figure featuring the same blend of mechanical Digimon details and Godzilla-inspired mutation.

The wider Digimon x Godzilla project has continued to grow beyond the original Digital Monster COLOR devices, with a second wave introducing the Digimon Pendulum COLOR Godzilla Edition in 2026.

That release expanded the G-cell storyline with newly corrupted Digimon including MetalGarurumon, Greymon, and BlackWarGreymon, while the Pendulum’s Jogress system can combine WarGreymon: “G” Erosion Mode and MetalGarurumon: “G” Erosion Mode into the new Omegamon: “G” Fusion Mode.

MetalGarurumon’s infected form has also already been recreated in figure form, with PLEX releasing a Toho Large Monsters Series statue that replaces part of its mechanical body with reptilian skin, claws, a tail, and Godzilla-inspired dorsal fins.

Pre-orders for the “DEFOREAL WarGreymon: ‘G’ Erosion Mode” will open through Premium Bandai Japan on September 16, 2026.
PLEX and X-PLUS have not yet announced the figure’s price, dimensions, or scheduled shipping date, with further product details expected when reservations begin.
