Digimon’s Godzilla Collab Continues with New MetalGarurumon x Godzilla Statue

Pre-orders have officially opened for the latest addition to PLEX’s “Toho Large Monsters Series,” which is based on one of the most striking designs from the ongoing Godzilla and Digimon collaboration.
The new “MetalGarurumon: ‘G’ Erosion Mode Toho Large Monsters Series” soft vinyl figure transforms the collaboration-exclusive Digimon into an impressive large-scale display piece.

The figure originates from a design for the upcoming Digimon Pendulum COLOR Godzilla Edition, which serves as the second collaborative project celebrating Godzilla’s 70th anniversary alongside the Digimon franchise.

Launching in August 2026, the special virtual pet includes dozens of legendary Toho monsters from the Godzilla series as trainable characters while also introducing five brand-new Digimon created exclusively for the crossover.

Among those exclusive creations is MetalGarurumon: “G” Erosion Mode, a terrifying evolution born after being corrupted by Godzilla’s powerful G-cells.

The new statue recreates illustrator Kenji Watanabe’s original character design from the game, translating its dramatic asymmetrical appearance into a highly detailed three-dimensional figure.

Measuring approximately 33 cm in length, the statue showcases a dramatic contrast between its two halves, highlighting the gradual corruption caused by the Godzilla cells.

The left side retains MetalGarurumon’s familiar cybernetic appearance, complete with metallic paint applications, battle damage and fully deployed weaponry mounted along its legs.

In contrast, the right side has been overtaken by Godzilla’s genetic influence, replacing its mechanical features with rough reptilian skin, oversized claws and an organic appearance inspired by the King of the Monsters.

The transformation continues across the creature’s back, where its body has developed a powerful tail and a series of imposing dorsal fins that further emphasize the effects of the G-cell mutation.

Even MetalGarurumon’s signature beam wings have been completely reimagined as enormous dorsal fin-like structures, allowing collectors to appreciate the figure’s distinctive silhouette from virtually every angle.

The combination of mechanical precision and monstrous organic detail makes this one of the most visually unique releases in the “Toho Large Monsters Series” to date.

The “MetalGarurumon: ‘G’ Erosion Mode Toho Large Monsters Series” figure is priced at ¥39,600 (approx. $253 USD / £198 GBP), and is scheduled for release in November 2026.

Pre-orders are now available through Premium Bandai until July 26, 2026, at 11:00 PM JST.
