Seiko Unveils 2 New Limited-Edition Violet Evergarden Memorial Watches
Seiko has unveiled two new limited-edition watches inspired by Violet Evergarden: Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll, with designs built around the letters, flowers and other symbols that connect Isabella and Taylor throughout the movie.
The new “Violet Evergarden Memorial Watch” collection consists of metal-band and leather-band versions, with each using a different dial to recreate the atmosphere of the Kyoto Animation side story while sharing several details taken directly from important moments in the film.
Seiko has previously produced several Violet Evergarden watches, including a 2025 mechanical collection based around memorable scenes from Episodes 5 and 7 of the TV anime.
Those earlier models used open-heart mechanical movements and designs inspired by Princess Charlotte’s moonlit garden and Violet’s famous parasol scene with playwright Oscar, while the new collection shifts its focus entirely to Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll.
Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll follows Violet as she is sent to an elite girls’ academy to help Isabella York prepare for her debut into high society, before the story shifts toward Isabella’s separated younger sister Taylor and her determination to reconnect with her.
Letters become an important link between the two sisters, and Seiko has incorporated that idea directly into both watches by shaping the seconds hand around the correspondence that connects Isabella and Taylor.
Violet’s deep green brooch appears at the 6 o’clock position on both models, while a white camellia inspired by the flowers growing around the school sits near 4 o’clock.
Two birds are also placed between the 7 and 8 o’clock positions, referencing the pair that Isabella and Taylor look toward as they fly freely through the sky.
The metal-band model uses a leaf-green dial inspired by the greenery surrounding the girls’ boarding school, with a radial finish designed to resemble sunlight filtering through leaves.
Its stainless steel bracelet keeps the overall appearance relatively understated, allowing the green dial and smaller story references to provide most of the connection to the film.
The leather-band version instead uses a white dial inspired by the movie’s white camellias, with a finely textured surface that changes subtly as light moves across it.
A leather strap gives the second version a softer appearance, while keeping the same letter-shaped seconds hand, brooch, flower and bird details found on the metal model.
Both watches use Japanese quartz movements with an advertised monthly accuracy of within ±15 seconds, along with curved Hardlex crystals, stainless steel cases and 10-bar water resistance.
The cases measure approximately 43.8mm tall, 38.1mm wide and 8.1mm thick, keeping both versions relatively slim despite the amount of decorative detail built into their dials.
Each watch is also individually numbered on the caseback, with production limited to 1,000 examples of the metal-band model and 1,000 of the leather-band version.
Presentation is also tied closely to the movie, with both watches supplied inside a white collector’s box inspired by Violet’s debutante outfit and accompanied by a letter-shaped guarantee card referencing one of the story’s most important recurring motifs.
The Violet Evergarden: Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll x Seiko Memorial Watches are priced at ¥65,780 each (approximately $424 USD / £315 GBP).
Both models are now available to pre-order through the official PREMICO online store, with shipping scheduled to begin from mid-March 2027.
