Dragon Ball Z Officially Brings Back Goku’s Massive 48cm Tall Legendary Super Saiyan Statue

The “Dragon Ball Z Gigantic Series Son Goku -Legendary Super Saiyan-” will return through a limited lottery sale, giving collectors another chance to secure the half meter tall figure following its original release in 2025.

Goku’s first transformation into a Super Saiyan remains one of Dragon Ball Z’s defining moments, occurring after Frieza kills Krillin and pushes Goku’s anger beyond its limit during the final stages of the Namek Saga.

The transformation fundamentally changes the balance of the battle, with Goku becoming the legendary Saiyan warrior Frieza had long feared and gaining the power needed to finally overwhelm the Galactic Emperor.

Plex’s figure focuses directly on that version of Goku, recreating his heavily built physique and the torn orange gi left damaged by the prolonged battle on Namek.

Clear parts are used for Goku’s raised Super Saiyan hair to reproduce its bright golden appearance, giving the head a different finish from the painted body beneath it.

The sculpt was created by HYO of Mad Hands and uses the oversized proportions associated with Plex’s Gigantic Series, which specializes in large non-articulated statues.

At approximately 48 cm tall, the figure is almost twice the height of many standard Dragon Ball collectibles and considerably larger than Bandai’s MASTERLISE and S.H.Figuarts releases.

The figure originally opened for pre-orders in August 2025 before receiving an additional order period the following month, with the first allocations shipping toward the end of that year.

Its latest return comes as Goku’s Namek-era appearances continue receiving new figures, including the recently released “Figuarts ZERO STARTune Son Goku,” which recreates his arrival on Planet Namek before the final confrontation with Frieza.

Another current Goku release goes back to the same legendary transformation through the “S.H.Figuarts Super Saiyan Son Goku -Legendary Super Saiyan- -Genki Dama Matsuri Edition-,” which uses coloring inspired by Akira Toriyama’s manga artwork rather than the anime palette.

Applications for the new lottery sale of the “Dragon Ball Z Gigantic Series Super Saiyan Son Goku -Legendary Super Saiyan-” will open through Premium Bandai Japan at 12:00 PM JST on October 11 and close at 11:00 PM JST on October 15, 2026.
Winners are scheduled to be announced later in October, with the figure priced at ¥19,800 (approximately $125 / £94) and shipping planned for December 2026.
