TAMASHII NATIONS’ New Dragon Ball Z Figure Immortalizes Goku’s Iconic Arrival on Namek

Bandai Spirits’ TAMASHII NATIONS has officially unveiled the third figure in its newly launched Figuarts ZERO STARTune series, with Dragon Ball Z hero Son Goku revealed as the latest character to join the expanding premium figure collection.
The new release recreates one of the most unforgettable moments in Dragon Ball Z, capturing Goku’s dramatic arrival on Planet Namek as he enters the battlefield to confront the Ginyu Force and turn the tide of the battle.

STARTune is a new evolution of the long-running Figuarts ZERO line that places equal emphasis on the featured character and the surrounding environment, using highly detailed sculpting, layered paint applications, and elaborate effect pieces to recreate iconic anime scenes in three-dimensional form.

Dragon Ball Z remains one of the most influential action anime series ever created, following Goku and his allies as they defend Earth and the universe against increasingly powerful enemies while constantly pushing beyond their own limits through training and battle.
The latest statue faithfully adapts Goku’s memorable Namek entrance, drawing inspiration directly from the original manga panel while bringing the scene to life with a dramatically sculpted display.

Goku is portrayed with a calm yet determined expression that perfectly reflects the confidence he displayed after completing his intense training on the journey to Planet Namek.
The figure showcases STARTune’s signature attention to detail, with carefully painted fabric folds, realistic muscle definition, and subtle shading helping recreate the distinctive look of Akira Toriyama’s artwork.

Rather than relying solely on the character itself, the display base becomes a central part of the presentation by recreating Goku’s spaceship.
The spacecraft has been recreated with impressive accuracy, featuring finely sculpted interior details and metallic paint applications across the exposed hydraulic mechanisms to give the scene additional depth and realism.

Even the damaged flooring inside the pod has been individually sculpted with varying crack patterns, further enhancing the dramatic moment of Goku’s arrival on Namek.
The Goku figure joins the previously announced Monkey D. Luffy “Onward to the New World” from One Piece and Naruto Uzumaki “Will of the Hokage” from Naruto, establishing STARTune as a multi-series collection celebrating some of anime’s most iconic protagonists.

Together, the first three releases demonstrate the series’ goal of recreating defining moments from legendary franchises through highly detailed sculpting and cinematic environmental displays.
A release date and retail price for “Figuarts ZERO [STARTune] Son Goku -Arrival at the Battlefield-” have yet to be announced, with more details expected shortly.
