Square Enix Opens Pre-Orders for New Final Fantasy XIV Pulse Remix Album
Image by Charlotte DavisSquare Enix has officially opened pre-orders for a new Final Fantasy XIV Pulse album, bringing the game’s high-energy remix series back with its largest collection of tracks so far.
“Pulse: FINAL FANTASY XIV Remix Album Vol. 3” contains 18 remixes drawn from music spanning A Realm Reborn, Heavensward, Stormblood, Shadowbringers, Endwalker and Dawntrail, covering more than a decade of Final Fantasy XIV’s expanding story and soundtrack.
Final Fantasy XIV has built an enormous musical catalog across its main game and expansions, with composer Masayoshi Soken and the wider sound team regularly shifting between orchestral themes, rock, jazz, electronic music and other styles depending on the characters, locations and battles involved.
The Pulse series takes that music in a more electronic direction, reworking familiar Final Fantasy XIV tracks around EDM-inspired beats and arrangements designed to capture the energy of a live music festival.
Volume 3 follows Pulse: FINAL FANTASY XIV Remix Album Vol. 2 (Deluxe Edition), which arrived in September 2025 with 15 tracks after the series had gone around five years without a new physical CD release.
The new album reaches further across Final Fantasy XIV’s history, with its track list including A Land Long Dead, Insanity, Rencounter, Moebius, Crimson Sunrise and Riptide.
Back to the Drawing Board, The Labyrinth, It’s Showtime!, Sky Unsundered, White Stone Black and Ride the Rhythm continue the selection, pulling music from both older expansions and more recent content.
Smile, Absolute Tyranny, Flow, Imagination, Apologies and Sands of Amber complete the 18-track album, giving several fan-favorite themes a completely different electronic treatment.
Among the remixers involved are Saya Yasaki, Noa Takada, Yeongjin Yang, Daiki Ishikawa, Nao Oe, Masayoshi Soken, Takafumi Imamura, Takemichi Kawakami and Shoya Sunakawa, with different artists handling individual tracks across the album.
Pre-orders for “Pulse: FINAL FANTASY XIV Remix Album Vol. 3” have begun as part of Square Enix’s advance merchandise campaign for FINAL FANTASY XIV Fan Festival 2026 in Tokyo, which takes place on October 31 and November 1.
The campaign began on August 13 and runs through October 1, allowing fans to order the album and other newly announced Fan Festival merchandise even if they are not attending the event itself.
Pulse: FINAL FANTASY XIV Remix Album Vol. 3 is priced at $31.99 through the Square Enix Store US, while the Japanese e-Store is listing the album at ¥3,960 (approx. $25 USD / £18 GBP), with pre-orders now open through both.
The album launches in Japan on October 16, 2026, while the imported US edition is currently scheduled for release in November 2026.
