Moriarty the Patriot Returns for New 10th Anniversary Exhibition with Exclusive Merch
Image by James RichardsonA new Moriarty the Patriot exhibition is set to open this December, celebrating the manga’s 10th anniversary with a look back at William James Moriarty’s story alongside exclusive commemorative merchandise.
The exhibition will begin at Space Galleria in Ikebukuro before travelling to Osaka and Fukuoka in 2027, using memorable scenes from the manga to trace William’s pursuit of his ideal world and the events surrounding the Moriarty family’s “final problem”.

Moriarty the Patriot is written by Ryosuke Takeuchi and illustrated by Hikaru Miyoshi, reworking characters from Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes stories around William James Moriarty and his campaign against the social inequality of Victorian Britain.

The manga began serialization in Jump SQ. in 2016, with the new exhibition marking ten years since its debut and focusing primarily on the journey William has taken across the series.

The first wave of commemorative merchandise will include plush versions of William and Sherlock, trading acrylic stands, manga-panel badges, mini art boards, mirror magnets, display stands and clear files, with some products also planned for later online or post-event sales.

Visitors spending at least ¥3,000 on merchandise will receive an exclusive bromide, while purchases of ¥5,000 or more will also include an illustration card, with the card design changing between venues.

Tickets will include one randomly selected design card from eight designs when entering the exhibition, with the bonus available while supplies last.

Advance tickets for the opening Tokyo run are already on sale, with timed entry required across the first three days before the exhibition switches to tickets valid during the remaining Tokyo period.

The Moriarty the Patriot 10th Anniversary Exhibition will run at Space Galleria on the eighth floor of Animate Ikebukuro Main Store from December 18, 2026 through January 18, 2027, before moving to Space Gratus in Osaka from February 19 through March 22 and Space Galleria Fukuoka from April 16 through May 17.
The Tokyo venue will open from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM, with final admission 30 minutes before closing and an earlier 5:00 PM finish on January 18.
