PokéPark Kanto Shows Off Eevee-Themed Ride Ahead of February Grand Opening

Yomiuri Land has unveiled the first images of one of the attractions at the “PokéPark Kanto,” amusement park, ahead of its grand opening this February.

The park is named after the Kanto region, the setting of the original Pocket Monsters Red and Green games released in 1996.

It will offer a huge range of exclusive merchandise and food, which can only be purchased by those lucky enough to visit the park.

Its opening arrives at a monumental time for the franchise, coinciding with the official kick-off of the 30th-anniversary celebrations.

Chonky Pikachu returns

Located within the Tama Hills area of Tokyo, the park is described as a “Trainers’ Area” where visitors can immerse themselves in the experience of living and exploring alongside Pokémon.

The park is divided into two main zones: the nature-focused “Pokémon Forest” and the bustling “Kayatsuri Town” (Sedge Town).

The “Pokémon Forest” features a 500-meter path winding through grassy fields and mountain trails, housing over 600 species of Pokémon in their natural habitats.

In contrast, “Kayatsuri Town” serves as a hub for trainers, featuring shops, a Pokémon Gym, and ride-style attractions like the newly revealed merry-go-round.

“Vui Vui Voyage” features carriages pulled by the Fire-type Pokémon Ponyta and Rapidash, as well as “flying chairs” suspended by balloons.

Eevee Themed Ride 3

The teaser images show Eevee alongside its “Kanto” evolutions: Flareon, Vaporeon, and Jolteon, confirming the appearance of the popular “Eeveelutions” group.

Admission to “Vui Vui Voyage” is priced at 1,200 yen for adults (13 years and older) and 800 yen for children (3 to 12 years old), and children under 5 years old require accompaniment by a paying guardian.

The attraction will be available to experience at Yomiuri Land’s PokéPark Kanto starting February 5.
