Square Enix Opens Orders for New Kingdom Chain Dark Side Keyblade Replica
Square Enix has revealed a stunning new replica based on the hit video game series “Kingdom Hearts”.
The newly announced “Kingdom Hearts Kingdom Chain Dark Side Keyblade” replica brings the iconic weapon wielded by King Mickey into the real world.
Originally launched in 2002, the groundbreaking action role-playing game beautifully merges the charming worlds of Disney with the dramatic storytelling of Square Enix.
The story follows a young boy named Sora as he travels across various cinematic universes to protect them from shadowy creatures known as the Heartless.
Throughout his long journey, he is frequently aided by the heroic King Mickey Mouse.
This legendary Disney character famously wields a special dark realm variant of the standard Keyblade, which is also known as the “Kingdom Key D”.
This impressive new replica perfectly captures the regal design of that specific weapon with a gorgeous silver and gold paint finish.
Measuring approximately 50 cm in length, the electronic replica features a variety of interactive modes to immerse players in the magic.
Just like the previously released standard “Kingdom Key” keyblade replica, users can easily swap between different settings using a simple button configuration.
In Drive Charge Mode, players can press the button to build up a virtual gauge and unleash a brilliant Heal Light.
This mode also features authentic sound effects for the charging process and reaching maximum power.
For those looking for action, Attack Mode provides seven different combat sound effects.
Repeatedly pressing the button in this state will eventually trigger a special sound effect representing a defeated enemy.
This allows players to accurately recreate their favorite battle scenes from the games.
The toy also includes a dedicated Music Mode that plays two popular background tracks.
Users can listen to either the Mickey Mouse March or Vim and Vigor while simultaneously using the other interactive features.
The “Kingdom Hearts Keyblade Kingdom Chain Dark Side” is priced at 9,900 yen (approx. $64 USD / £51 GBP).
Shipping for the electronic replica is currently scheduled for October 2026.
