Nostalgic Samurai Pizza Cats Anime Receives a New Model Kit Release
Fans of the classic retro anime Samurai Pizza Cats are getting an exciting opportunity to build a piece of nostalgia thanks to a brand new release.
The 1/12 scale “Yattarou and Toritsukkun” plastic model kit from Bellfine is set to allow builders to recreate the iconic Secret Ninja Team hero alongside his trusty support mecha.
Taking place in the bustling metropolis of Edoropolis, the memorable show became a cult favorite for its highly creative blend of advanced sci-fi technology and traditional Japanese Edo culture.
The unique setting provided the perfect backdrop for the lively adventures of the feline ninja crew as they protected the city from evil forces.
This new plastic model kit perfectly captures the retro-futuristic mechanical aesthetic that defined the beloved series.
The design staff at Bellfine and the Mizuho Town Design Team have carefully reproduced the characteristic forms and intricate details of both characters to accurately match their original on-screen appearances.
Builders will be able to enjoy displaying the duo individually, or combining both figures to recreate dynamic action scenes inspired by the animated show.
The two separate models feature a special integration gimmick that allows them to securely combine into the powerful Mega Nyankee form, resulting in a striking and heavily armored silhouette.
When fully assembled, the Yattarou figure stands at approximately 11.5 cm tall.
His mechanical avian companion Toritsukkun measures roughly 11.0 cm in height and boasts an impressive width of approximately 24.8 cm.
The model kit will come in exclusive packaging featuring art by Noritaka Suzuki, who worked on the original series.
The “Yattarou and Toritsukkun” model kit is priced at 8,140 yen (approx. $53 USD / £42 GBP), and pre-orders are now available via most reputable hobby goods retailers.
Shipping is currently expected to begin in August 2026.
