Bandai Fully Unveils New Gundam SEED Cagalli Yula Athha Premium Figure

Figure manufacturer MegaHouse has officially revealed a new Gundam SEED FREEDOM figure that recreates one of Cagalli Yula Athha’s most personal moments from the movie’s expanded epilogue.
The “GGG Cagalli Yula Athha Pilot Suit Ver.” brings Cagalli into MegaHouse’s long-running Gundam Girls Generation series, which creates larger character-focused figures based on women from across the Gundam franchise.

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM reunited Cagalli with Kira Yamato, Athrun Zala, Lacus Clyne, and other surviving members of the Cosmic Era cast nearly two decades after Gundam SEED Destiny originally concluded their television story.

Cagalli remains the Chief Representative of the neutral Orb Union during the movie, balancing her political responsibilities with the relationships established throughout Gundam SEED and Gundam SEED Destiny, particularly her long-running connection with Athrun.

That relationship provides the focus for MegaHouse’s new figure, which is based on Cagalli’s appearance in an epilogue scene added to the special theatrical edition of Gundam SEED FREEDOM.

The figure shows Cagalli with the upper portion of her pilot suit removed while carefully holding the ring given to her by Athrun, turning a relatively quiet moment from the film’s extended material into the centerpiece of the release.

Standing approximately 25 cm tall, the finished figure uses the partially removed pilot suit to create much of its visual detail, with sculpted folds and creases running through the material while Cagalli’s pose keeps attention on the ring held close to her chest.

MegaHouse has also used layered shading across her hair, skin and clothing to give the otherwise restrained pose more depth, while her expression reflects the softer tone of the epilogue scene rather than Cagalli’s more familiar battlefield appearances.

The sculpt was created by Miyoshi, with paintwork handled by Ekoshi, and the completed figure comes with a dedicated display base.

Cagalli has been receiving considerably more figure attention recently, with Bandai also preparing a smaller Figuarts mini version based on her Gundam SEED FREEDOM appearance for January 2027 alongside new Shinn Asuka and Lunamaria Hawke releases.

Her connection with Athrun has also continued to feature heavily in official merchandise, including matching STRICT-G x ALPHA INDUSTRIES flight jackets that received a US re-release this summer and a more recent fashion collection dedicated entirely to Athrun.

Pre-orders for the “GGG Cagalli Yula Athha Pilot Suit Ver.” are scheduled to open on September 10 at 10:00 AM JST through hobby retailers and online stores, with the figure planned for release in late February 2027.

The figure is priced at ¥23,100 (approximately $151 / £111).
