Gundam SEED’s Athrun and Cagalli Flight Jackets Get Official US Re-Release

The Gundam-themed apparel brand STRICT-G is bringing their Gundam SEED FREEDOM collaboration with the legendary military apparel brand ALPHA INDUSTRIES back to the US for a limited time this summer, with a re-release confirmed for a pair of flight jackets based on two of the film’s most popular characters.
The collab collection, which was first released back in November 2025, features two “MA-1 NATUS” flight jackets inspired by Athrun Zala and Cagalli Yula Athha.

ALPHA INDUSTRIES is a military brand founded in 1959, famous for being a supplier to the U.S. military and for its iconic “MA-1” flight jacket and the “NATUS” model is a modern variation that features a removable, layered sweatshirt-style hood.
The new collection brings this classic military silhouette to the world of Gundam SEED FREEDOM, the theatrical sequel to Mobile Suit Gundam SEED and Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY, that continued the Cosmic Era storyline nearly two decades after the TV series originally concluded.

Released in Japanese cinemas on January 26, 2024, the film follows Kira Yamato and the newly formed peacekeeping organization COMPASS as they attempt to prevent a new global conflict, introducing the Kingdom of Foundation while revisiting the long-running tensions between Coordinators and Naturals that define the Gundam SEED universe.
The two jackets from STRICT-G use symbols and colors associated with both Cagalli and Athrun to create statement fashion pieces that any fan of the series would be proud to own:
- STRICT-G ALPHA Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM MA-1 NATUS – Athrun Zala Model
- Price: $400

This version features a burgundy shell, inspired by Athrun’s in-movie pilot suit.

It is decorated with a “Terminal” patch on the right chest and a helmet motif on the right arm.

The ALPHA logo patch on the left chest is removable, revealing “ATHRUN ZALA” embroidered underneath.

- STRICT-G ALPHA Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM MA-1 NATUS – Cagalli Yula Athha Model
- Price: $400

This version features an engineer-red shell, inspired by Cagalli’s pilot suit.

It is decorated with an “ORB” patch on the right chest and Cagalli’s personal mark on the right arm.

The removable ALPHA logo patch reveals “CAGALLI YULA ATHHA” underneath, and the sleeve features a ribbon and dog tag.
As a special gift-with-purchase campaign, customers who buy one of the collaboration jackets will receive a free, exclusive acrylic stand of the corresponding character.

Both jackets are now available to pre-order from Premium Bandai US for $400, with orders closing on September 9 ahead of an expected October 2026 shipping schedule.
