Square Enix Opens Pre-Orders for Final Fantasy’s New UNDERTALE Collab Collection

The recently revealed “UNDERTALE × FINAL FANTASY” collection made its first appearance at Tokyo Game Show 2026 and consists of four items using the crossover artwork.

Square Enix featured a substantial merchandise selection at the event, and the UNDERTALE crossover was joined by another unusual project connecting one of the company’s best-known properties with the visual history of Final Fantasy.

The new Fullmetal Alchemist Dot Art collection transformed Edward Elric, Alphonse Elric, Winry Rockbell, Roy Mustang, Riza Hawkeye, Envy and Greed (Ling) into original pixel artwork created by veteran Final Fantasy artist Kazuko Shibuya.

The new UNDERTALE collaboration arrives just as Square Enix begins building toward Final Fantasy’s 40th anniversary in 2027, with several major projects already announced for the milestone.

Among them is the new “SQUARE ENIX GALLERY CARDS” line, which will begin with a 180-card Final Fantasy 40th Anniversary Collection using 97 pieces of artwork from throughout the series, including elaborate foil treatments, a serial-numbered Ultima Legend Rare and NFC-equipped Harmonic Rare cards connected with Final Fantasy music.

Image by Charlotte DavisUNDERTALE originally launched in 2015 and quickly became one of the most recognizable independent RPGs of its generation, combining deliberately retro visuals and turn-based battles with a story built around the player’s ability to fight, spare or befriend the monsters encountered beneath the surface.

Its RPG foundation makes Final Fantasy a natural series for the new crossover to play with, particularly when transforming UNDERTALE’s familiar cast through costumes associated with Square Enix’s decades-spanning franchise.

The complete “UNDERTALE × FINAL FANTASY” merch lineup consists of the following items:
- UNDERTALE × FINAL FANTASY Japanese Hand Towel – ¥3,080 (approximately $20 / £15)

- UNDERTALE × FINAL FANTASY Pouch – ¥2,200 (approximately $14 / £11)

- UNDERTALE × FINAL FANTASY Tote Bag – ¥3,300 (approximately $21 / £16)

- UNDERTALE × FINAL FANTASY Sticker Set – ¥2,200 (approximately $14 / £11)

Fans attending Tokyo Game Show 2026, which is taking place at Makuhari Messe from September 17 through September 21, can find the collection at the Square Enix Shop in Hall 9 at booth 09-W69.

For those unable to attend, online pre-orders are now open through the official Square Enix e-Store, with shipping expected in January 2027.
Square Enix also made a number of other exciting new reveals at Tokyo Game Show 2026, including a new collection of 16 gaming PC’s based on every mainline Final Fantasy entry to date.
