Square Enix and GALLERIA Announce 16 New Final Fantasy 40th Anniversary Collab Gaming PCs
Image by Charlotte DavisSquare Enix and Japanese high-performance PC brand GALLERIA have unveiled a huge new Final Fantasy collaboration, with 16 specially designed gaming PCs being created to celebrate the series’ upcoming 40th anniversary.
Rather than focusing on a handful of the franchise’s most popular entries, the collection will give every numbered game from the original Final Fantasy through Final Fantasy XVI its own dedicated PC design.
Each model uses artwork from its respective game across the glass side panel of the case, giving fans the opportunity to choose a system based specifically around their favorite entry in the long-running RPG series.
The collaboration was announced during a GALLERIA stage presentation at Tokyo Game Show 2026, where the company also gave visitors their first opportunity to see several of the anniversary PCs in person.
GALLERIA is the gaming and high-performance PC brand operated by Japanese computer company Thirdwave, and already has an established relationship with Square Enix through its range of officially recommended Final Fantasy XIV gaming PCs.
The new anniversary collection expands that relationship across the entire numbered series for the first time, creating individual systems themed around games spanning almost four decades of Final Fantasy history.
The original Final Fantasy launched for Nintendo’s Famicom in Japan on December 18, 1987, meaning the series will officially celebrate its 40th anniversary in December 2027.
Since then, Final Fantasy has grown into one of Square Enix’s biggest global franchises, with the company reporting more than 212 million shipments and digital sales worldwide across the wider series.
Only three of the 16 anniversary designs have been shown publicly so far, with GALLERIA displaying PCs based on Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy X at its Tokyo Game Show booth.
Visitors can photograph the three display models, although they aren’t available for hands-on gameplay at the event.
The designs are still under development, so some of the artwork or other visual details may change before the final production versions go on sale.
Final Fantasy XIV will be the next game in the collection to get a full public showing, with its dedicated anniversary PC scheduled to appear at Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2026 in Tokyo.
That event will take place across October 31 and November 1, giving fans their first look at how the long-running MMORPG will be represented alongside the designs already revealed for Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy X.
Square Enix and GALLERIA haven’t yet announced the internal specifications for the 16 systems, so details including processors, graphics cards, memory and storage configurations are still being kept under wraps.
Pricing has also yet to be confirmed, and it isn’t currently clear whether each Final Fantasy design will be tied to a single hardware configuration or offered with multiple specification options.
All 16 Final Fantasy 40th Anniversary GALLERIA collaboration PCs are currently scheduled to go on sale in Japan during 2027, with further details set to be announced through GALLERIA and Square Enix ahead of their release.
