Bungo Stray Dogs Reveals New Official Eyewear Collection Inspired by Six Fan-Favorites
Image by James RichardsonJapanese eyewear brand Zoff has unveiled a new collection of official Bungo Stray Dogs glasses, featuring six character-inspired designs that incorporate details from their supernatural abilities, clothing and personalities.
The new “Zoff | Bungo Stray Dogs” collection features frames based on Atsushi Nakajima, Osamu Dazai, Ranpo Edogawa, Ryunosuke Akutagawa, Chuuya Nakahara and Fyodor Dostoevsky, with each pair accompanied by exclusive accessories inspired by the anime.

Bungo Stray Dogs began as a manga series written by Kafka Asagiri and illustrated by Sango Harukawa in 2012, following a group of detectives and criminals whose supernatural abilities are inspired by famous literary figures.

The series received its first television anime adaptation in 2016 and has since expanded across five seasons, an original theatrical movie and several spin-off projects, with the franchise celebrating the anime’s 10th anniversary throughout 2026.

Much of the story centers on the Armed Detective Agency and its conflict with the Port Mafia and other gifted organizations, with characters such as Dazai, Atsushi and Akutagawa becoming some of the franchise’s most popular figures.

Zoff has previously collaborated with several major anime franchises, including Jujutsu Kaisen, Haikyu!! and Gintama, with a more recent Blue Lock collection featuring glasses inspired by six characters and the series’ signature chain motifs.

For its first collaboration with Bungo Stray Dogs, Zoff has incorporated specific elements of the characters’ appearances and supernatural abilities into six different frames, using specially designed metal decorations, colored components and other details that reference the anime.

Each pair also includes a small metal emblem on the end of its temples, representing the Armed Detective Agency, Port Mafia or Rats in the House of the Dead according to the character’s affiliation.
The six designs are:
- “Atsushi Nakajima Model”

Inspired by his “Beast Beneath the Moonlight” ability, the frame features metal details resembling a tiger’s claws and a tiger-stripe pattern visible through its translucent temples, with blue accents referencing the glow of Atsushi’s transformation.

- “Osamu Dazai Model”

Dazai’s signature bandages are recreated through metal details connecting the front of the frame to its temples, with a mixture of black and brown coloring and patterned temple tips inspired by his ability.

- “Ranpo Edogawa Model”

Designed to resemble the glasses Ranpo wears in the anime, this brown frame incorporates details inspired by his “Super Deduction” ability, including a motif based on his eyes and temple decorations referencing his necktie.

- “Ryunosuke Akutagawa Model”

Akutagawa’s “Rashomon” ability inspires the sharp, flowing decorations along the temples, accompanied by a black-to-white gradient based on his hair.

- “Chuuya Nakahara Model”

The frame combines colors inspired by Chuuya’s hair and clothing with a metal decoration based on his signature choker, while translucent sections reveal red detailing associated with his “Corruption” ability.

- “Fyodor Dostoevsky Model”

A delicate metal frame in pale purple incorporates decorations inspired by Fyodor’s clothing, with the words “Crime and Punishment” engraved inside the temples and a Rats in the House of the Dead emblem on the ends.

All six pairs come with an original Bungo Stray Dogs glasses case and a cleaning cloth featuring a scene from the anime, with different cloth designs supplied according to the selected character.

Zoff has also included a lens exchange voucher with each purchase, allowing customers to obtain prescription or non-prescription lenses through participating Zoff stores after receiving their glasses.
Four additional collectible cleaning cloths featuring original Zoff artwork have been created for the collaboration, with the designs available individually through capsule toy machines or together as a complete set.

The collection joins several other Bungo Stray Dogs fashion collaborations, including a collection of character-inspired boots from Japanese fashion brand MAYLA, which featured designs based on Atsushi, Dazai, Chuuya and Akutagawa.

The anime’s 10th anniversary celebrations have also inspired a new winter-themed merchandise collection featuring Atsushi, Dazai, Kunikida, Ranpo, Akutagawa and Chuuya, which will be available through the upcoming Yokohama Birthday Festival 2026.
