Octopath Traveler 0 introduces the villainous Pardis III and new town-building features

New information has been released for the upcoming RPG, Octopath Traveler 0, which details the game’s main antagonist, four new playable travelers, and a deeper look at the “Town Building” system.
Set on the continent of Orsterra, the same world as the original Octopath Traveler, this new game tells a story of revenge and restoration surrounding a set of divine rings.
The main villain of the story is Pardis III, the “Master of All.”

He is the absolute monarch of the Kingdom of Edoras, a man who commands Wealth, Power, and Fame.

Driven by an insatiable greed, he has begun an invasion to seize control of the entire continent of Orsterra.
To stand against his ambitions, players will be joined by a variety of companions on their adventure.
The four newly revealed travelers are:
- Pius (Cleric)

A bishop of the Order of the Sacred Flame and a distant relative of the protagonist’s mother, who wishes to repay her past kindness.

His Ultimate Technique, “Scales of Justice,” lowers the defense of all foes while raising the attack of all allies.

- Saoirse (Dancer)

A traveling dancer with unique artistic tastes and an extraordinary vocal talent, who is searching for a partner to join her on stage.

Her Ultimate Technique, “Ruinous Aria,” allows an ally to exploit enemy weaknesses regardless of their actual weak points.

- Carinda (Merchant)

A friendly and warm-hearted merchant with a great business sense, who never misses an opportunity to make some leaves.

Her Ultimate Technique, “Trick of the Trade,” raises the physical attack of all allies and grants them the ability to dodge one physical attack.

- Xerc (Scholar)

A scholar who researches soulstones and is regarded as an eccentric within academic circles.

His Ultimate Technique, “Soulstone’s Might,” deals Fire, Ice, Lightning, Wind, Light, and Dark damage to all foes one time each.
The new “Town Building” system will also allow players to construct a variety of unique and unusual facilities.
The “Monster Arena” will allow players to capture monsters and then battle against them in arena matches to earn various rewards.

A “Museum” can also be built, where players can listen to music from collected “music scores,” revisit past memories through “journals,” and display legendary treasures.

Octopath Traveler 0 is scheduled to be released worldwide on the 4th of December.
It will be available for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
