Wing Gundam Zero EW and Char’s Zaku II Headline New “Gundam Universe” Renewal Releases

Bandai has announced the upcoming release of three renewed action figures for their popular “Gundam Universe” figure line.
This entry-level completed figure series is known for creating detailed, articulated, sculpts of some of the franchise’s most iconic mobile suits whilst maintaining a reasonable price point.

These updated releases will feature the newly developed “Universal Reaction Frame” internal structure.
This new internal frame significantly expands the optimal range of articulation to allow for highly dynamic and screen-accurate poses without sacrificing the sturdy nature of the figures.

The new wave of releases includes upgraded versions of the Wing Gundam Zero (EW), Char’s Zaku II, and Freedom Gundam.
The “Gundam Universe XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero (EW) Renewal” recreates the iconic angelic machine piloted by Heero Yuy in the OVA series Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz.

This figure includes its signature Twin Buster Rifle, two beam sabers with effect parts, and interchangeable hands to replicate its devastating firing stances.

The “Gundam Universe MS-06S Char’s Zaku II Renewal” represents the infamous crimson mobile suit piloted by the “Red Comet” Char Aznable during the One Year War in the original Mobile Suit Gundam.

The customized Zeon unit comes equipped with a Zaku Bazooka, Zaku Machine Gun, and a Heat Hawk for recreating high-speed, close-quarters combat maneuvers.

The “Gundam Universe ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam Renewal” depicts the powerful nuclear-equipped mobile suit piloted by Kira Yamato in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED.

This figure features a beam rifle, a shield, and dual beam sabers that include a specialized handle to combine them into a double-bladed weapon for intense melee clashes.

Each figure in this wave stands approximately 15 cm tall and includes a set of joint parts to assist with mounting the figures on display stands.

Pre-orders for the three renewed “Gundam Universe” figures will open at general retail stores and online retailers on June 1, 2026.

Each figure is priced at 4,400 yen (approx. $28 USD/£22 GBP), and the general retail release, as well as shipping for pre-orders, for this wave is scheduled for October 2026.
