Sanrio's Hapidanbui Teams Up with Pingu for Summer-Themed Pop-Up Shop

A limited-time retail event celebrating the first collaboration between the internationally recognized character Pingu and Sanrio’s Hapidanbui group will take place in Tokyo this summer.

The Pingu x Hapidanbui POP UP STORE is scheduled to welcome visitors from June 24 through July 6, 2026, at MAKE THE STAGE on the fifth floor of Laforet Harajuku.

Pingu is a beloved character known around the world, while Hapidanbui is a Sanrio unit consisting of Pochacco, Tuxedosam, Keroppi, Badtz-Maru, Hangyodon, and Pekkle the Duck.

The collaboration’s featured artwork depicts Pingu alongside the Hapidanbui members enjoying shaved ice together in a cheerful summer setting.

Visitors will be able to browse a selection of merchandise showcasing these exclusive illustrations.

The product lineup includes stand clips decorated with the shaved ice-themed artwork of Pingu, Pochacco, Tuxedosam, Keroppi, Badtz-Maru, Hangyodon, and Pekkle the Duck.

Additional items available during the event include clear stickers, medicine notebook covers, and die-cut fans featuring the collaborative designs.

The pop-up store will be held at MAKE THE STAGE on the fifth floor of Laforet Harajuku throughout the event period.

Customers who spend ¥2,200 including tax (approx. $15 USD/ £12 GBP) or more on eligible Pingu x Hapidanbui merchandise will receive one complimentary sticker selected at random.

The sticker bonus campaign applies while supplies remain available.

A special collaboration café will also be operating during the same period at MILK MILK MILK! on the second floor of Laforet Harajuku.

The café event is being organized to coincide with the Pingu x Hapidanbui POP UP STORE and will allow fans to further enjoy the collaboration experience.

The event represents the first time that Pingu and the Hapidanbui characters have partnered together for an official collaboration project.
