Bandai Confirms Re-Release for Gundam Narrative’s Exclusive Jesta Shezarr Team A Gunpla Kit
Bandai is officially bringing back an exclusive Gunpla kit based on Gundam Narrative’s high-speed Jesta used by Shezarr Team A during the hunt for the Phenex.
The “HG 1/144 Jesta (Shezarr Team Specification, Team A Equipment)” recreates the specialized RGM-96Xs with its enhanced head sensor, modified backpack and large propellant booster units designed to give the team enough mobility to pursue the elusive Unicorn Gundam Unit 3.
Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative was released in 2018 as a direct continuation of the Universal Century story established by Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, taking place one year later as several factions compete to locate the mysterious Phenex.
The Shezarr Team was assembled for Operation Phoenix Hunt, dividing six modified Jestas between three two-machine teams with different equipment tailored to locating, pursuing, and capturing the Phenex.
Team A served as the pursuit element, replacing the standard Jesta backpack with a high-mobility unit based on the Stark Jegan and adding large propellant and booster units to increase its operating range and acceleration.
The kit recreates that configuration with newly molded parts for the scope-style sensor mounted to the head, sections of the backpack, and the mounting points used by its oversized booster equipment.
Three large propellant booster units are included, creating the heavily extended silhouette that separates Team A’s machine from both the standard Jesta and the other Shezarr Team configurations.
Bandai also includes revised wrist parts that allow the Beam Rifle to be held with both hands, alongside the Beam Saber and Hand Grenades carried by the machine.
The kit was originally released as a Premium Bandai exclusive in November 2018 alongside the separate B & C Team Equipment version, which exchanges the high-mobility setup for equipment including the Mega Beam Launcher and Capture Gun.
Both Shezarr Team kits were most recently reissued during Premium Bandai’s final Gundam Summer Fest 2026 Gunpla drop, where the Team A version joined the B & C configuration alongside several other returning Universal Century releases.
Gundam Narrative is also getting another major re-release in early 2027, with the film’s gold-plated RG 1/144 Unicorn Gundam 03 Phenex (Narrative Ver.) set for another production run.
