New Pokémon 30th Anniversary Metal Charm Collection Features Kanto Starters and Their Evolutions

Takara Tomy Arts has announced a new range of collectible gacha items to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise.
The “Pokémon 30th Anniversary Metal Charm Mascot” collection honors the three decades since the original release of the Red and Green titles in Japan.

This new release comes as the next mainline entries in the popular video-game series have been revealed as “Pokémon Winds and Waves” for the Nintendo Switch 2.

The upcoming adventures will introduce fans to a new trio of partner Pokémon known in English as Browt, Pombun, and Gecqua.

The game will also include the debut of two special sun-kissed mascots named Kazepika-kun and Namipika-chan.

Other commemorative projects include a miniature “GAME MUSIC COLLECTION” device that plays 45 classic tracks from the original 8-bit games.

The Pokémon Card Game is also set to release a 30th Anniversary collection later in 2026 featuring legendary characters from across the series history.

Fans in Tokyo can experience the “Pokémon Card Game TOKYO LUMINOUS NIGHT” projection mapping event at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building.

Travelers can even take to the skies with the new “Pokémon Jet” project from ANA which features aircraft themed after the original red, green, and blue versions.

Luxury brand LLADRÓ has also joined the festivities by opening orders for handcrafted porcelain statues of Pikachu and Eevee.

These new metal charms measure approximately 35mm and feature high-quality engravings that capture the nostalgic essence of the Kanto region.
