New global fan vote looks to decide which Gundam is the best from the franchise’s 45-year history

The first-ever official global fan vote has been launched to allow fans to select their favorite Gundam from the long-running and iconic mecha anime franchise.
The “Worldwide ‘Gundam’ General Election 2025” is being held as part of the renewal of the official Gundam information portal site, “GUNDAM.INFO,” which has been re-launched as the new, ultimate “GUNDAM Official Website.”

This new, global polling project is the first of its kind for the franchise, and it is available in a total of ten different languages.
Fans from around the world can now vote for their favorite “Gundam type” or “Gundam-named” mobile suit from across all of the various anime series in both the “Universal Century” and the “Alternate” timelines, such as “After Colony”, “Cosmic Era”, and “Future Century”.

The voting period is currently open, and fans can cast one vote per day for their favorite mobile suit.

The results of the poll will be tallied and announced, with both a worldwide ranking and separate, individual rankings for each of the ten different languages.

As a special prize, a brand-new, original illustration will be created for the mobile suit that is crowned the number one Gundam in the world.

The candidate list for the poll is extensive and includes a huge number of different mobile suits, including various different versions and loadouts.

For example, there are a total of nine different versions of the Victory Gundam and the V2 Gundam from Mobile Suit Victory Gundam that are eligible to be voted for.

This new event is a massive, global celebration that brings together the entire, multi-generational fanbase of the iconic and long-running franchise.
The voting period for the “Worldwide ‘Gundam’ General Election 2025” began on Thursday, the 9th of October, via the new GUNDAM Official Website.

The poll is scheduled to remain open until 11:59 PM on Thursday, the 25th of December, Japan Standard Time.
