Bandai Reveals New Mobile Suit Gundam Glow-in-the-Dark T-Shirt Collection
Image by Charlotte DavisBandai has revealed a new collection of official Mobile Suit Gundam T-shirts that transform when the lights go out, using glow-in-the-dark printing across designs featuring the Last Shooting, Char’s Zaku II and Haro.
The new shirts come from STRICT-G, Bandai’s dedicated Gundam fashion label, with each design using phosphorescent printing to reveal additional glowing details when viewed in darkness.

STRICT-G has continued expanding its Gundam apparel throughout 2026, with recent releases including its first fashion collection built around Gunpla box artwork, which used six Mobile Suits to trace the long-running rivalry between Amuro Ray and Char Aznable.

The Last Shooting design is based on one of the most famous images from the original series, recreating the damaged RX-78-2 Gundam raising its Beam Rifle during the final battle at A Baoa Qu.

The scene comes from Episode 43, “Escape,” as the heavily damaged Gundam continues fighting Zeong after Amuro Ray has already left the cockpit, ultimately producing the upward-firing pose that became known as the Last Shooting.

A second shirt focuses on Char Aznable’s MS-06S Char’s Zaku II, the customized red Mobile Suit that established the Red Comet as Amuro’s main rival during the early stages of the One Year War.

Haro provides a much lighter alternative for the third design, with the spherical green robot that has become one of Gundam’s most recognizable mascots receiving its own glow-in-the-dark artwork.

All three shirts use 100% cotton and are offered in adult sizes M, L, XL and XXL in Japan, with matching children’s versions also available in 130cm and 140cm sizes.

Pre-orders are now open through the STRICT-G Online Store on Premium Bandai Japan and are scheduled to continue until September 27 at 11:00 PM JST unless the available allocation is claimed earlier, with online orders expected to ship in October 2026.

The shirts also went on general sale through participating STRICT-G stores across Japan on September 19.

Premium Bandai US has also opened pre-orders for the Last Shooting, Char’s Zaku II and Haro designs, with US orders currently scheduled to ship in November 2026.
Each adult shirt is priced at ¥5,500 (approximately $35 USD / £26 GBP) in Japan, while the children’s versions cost ¥4,730 (approximately $30 USD / £23 GBP), with all three adult designs priced at $46 each through Premium Bandai US.
