My Melody and Kuromi Become Nuggets for New Fast Food Collab

A new limited-time collaboration campaign has been announced that transforms popular Sanrio characters into fast food menu items.
The “My Melody & Kuromi x Mos Burger” promotion features exclusive plush mascots where the characters are designed to resemble the chain’s signature Chicken Nuggets and Mos Chicken.

Mos Burger, a major Japanese fast-food chain, frequently collaborates with character franchises to create unique merchandise sets.

For this partnership, the designers have taken a humorous approach by dressing the sweet rabbit My Melody and her mischievous rival Kuromi in golden-brown “batter” costumes.

The mascots are designed with distinct textures to match the specific food items they represent.
My Melody, dressed as a Chicken Nugget, features short, smooth fur to replicate the texture of the nugget’s coating.

In contrast, Kuromi is dressed as the bone-in Mos Chicken and is crafted with longer, fluffy fur to mimic the crispy, uneven surface of the fried chicken skin.

Each mascot comes attached to a ball chain for display on bags and is presented in packaging that mimics the actual paper sleeves and boxes used for serving the food in the restaurant.
When customers pick up their reserved goods at the counter, they will receive the plush toy alongside the actual freshly fried food item corresponding to the character.
It is noted that while the Chicken Nugget set includes the food, dipping sauces must be purchased separately at the register.
The full lineup of items includes the following:
- Chicken Nugget x My Melody Mascot Set:

Includes the My Melody plush mascot and a 5-piece serving of Chicken Nuggets.

The mascot is styled with a smooth texture to match the food.

- Mos Chicken x Kuromi Mascot Set:

Includes the Kuromi plush mascot and one piece of Mos Chicken.

The mascot features a fluffy texture to simulate crispy batter.

Each set is priced at 1,200 yen (approx. $8.00 USD / £6.25 GBP).
Online reservations for these sets officially opened on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 via the Mos Burger website.
Customers who successfully reserve their items will be able to pick them up in stores between February 5 and February 20, 2026.
General in-store sales for any remaining stock are scheduled to begin on February 5 and run until February 28, 2026.
