SEGA Announces New Sonic DJ Album Spanning More Than 30 Years of Iconic Game Music
Image by Charlotte DavisSEGA has announced a huge new Sonic the Hedgehog music release that will combine 29 tracks from across the series into a single nonstop DJ mix.
The “Sonic The Hedgehog DJ Style “MOSAIC”” album has been mixed by longtime Sonic sound director Tomoya Ohtani and brings together music from different games, eras, and musical styles.
Several tracks have also been created or officially released for the first time through the album, including two mashups previously heard only at the “SONIC MUSIC EXPERIENCE” live event and a completely new remix of music from Sonic Adventure 2.
“Sonic The Hedgehog DJ Style “MOSAIC”” is the second release in SEGA’s DJ Style series, following the 2020 album “Sonic The Hedgehog DJ Style “PARTY””.
That earlier collection established the continuous-mix format, with “MOSAIC” returning to the concept six years later with a new 29-track selection.
Among the new material is “Space Trip Steps …for Meteor Herd (Garage House Remix),” which revisits the Meteor Herd music associated with Knuckles in Sonic Adventure 2 through a garage house arrangement created specifically for the album.
“Doom Zone × Undefeatable (Mashup Remix)” combines music connected to Shadow with “Undefeatable” from Sonic Frontiers, while “I’m with you × Dreams Of An Absolution (Mashup Remix)” brings together music from Sonic Frontiers and Sonic the Hedgehog 2006.
Both mashups had previously been confined to live performances at “SONIC MUSIC EXPERIENCE,” making the new album their first official audio release.
The wider track selection includes music from Sonic CD, Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Colors, Sonic Generations, Sonic Forces and Sonic Frontiers, alongside several Cyber Space themes and remixes.
The complete 29-track lineup is:

The official anniversary song “Speed Is My Life” has already received multiple international versions during 2026, including the Japanese arrangement “Onsoku wo Koete (Beyond the Speed of Sound)” performed by Hatsune Miku.
SEGA is also preparing to hold “SONIC the Exhibition -ACROSS GENERATIONS-” in Tokyo, which will look back across 35 years of Sonic through development material, character design, artwork, merchandise and music.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds has contributed further to the series’ more recent musical output through the “Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Original Soundtrack – Echoes of Dimensions,” which collects more than 200 tracks across four CDs.
The “Sonic The Hedgehog DJ Style “MOSAIC”” CD will be released in Japan on December 2, 2026, for ¥2,800 (approximately $18/£13), with digital distribution through music services beginning on the same day.
