Pokémon and Igloo Release Exclusive New Travel Tumbler and Cooler Collection
Image by James RichardsonPokémon has teamed up with American cooler manufacturer Igloo for an extensive new collection of character-themed drinkware, coolers and insulated bags inspired by some of the franchise’s most popular monsters.
The “Igloo x Pokémon – Coolers & Drinkware Collection” includes 15 different designs, with a particular focus on Pikachu, the original Kanto starter Pokémon and their evolutions, alongside Mew, Mewtwo and the iconic Poké Ball.
The collaboration arrives during Pokémon’s 30th anniversary celebrations in 2026, marking three decades since the original Pokémon Red and Green games introduced players to the Kanto region and its first 151 monsters.
Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle were the original starter Pokémon offered to players at the beginning of their adventures, eventually evolving into the powerful Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise.
Pikachu also appears throughout the collection, having become the franchise’s internationally recognized mascot thanks to its central role in the anime and numerous video games.
Igloo has been producing coolers since 1947 and is particularly well known for its portable Playmate range, which uses a tent-shaped lid that opens through a button-operated mechanism.
For this collaboration, several of Igloo’s existing products have received special Pokémon designs, with the largest selection consisting of stainless-steel travel mugs and smaller insulated tumblers.
Let’s take a closer look at all 15 designs!
- “Pokémon 32 Oz Travel Mug” (Pikachu) – $39.99
The first travel mug features a bright yellow exterior decorated with Pikachu artwork, including large illustrations of the Electric-type mascot alongside matching lightning bolt patterns.
Its stainless-steel body holds 32 ounces and includes a side handle, reusable straw and leakproof flip-and-sip lid, alongside a built-in rubber coaster at the base.
- “Pokémon 32 Oz Travel Mug” (Squirtle Evolution Line) – $39.99
The blue version celebrates Squirtle’s evolutionary family, with a large illustration of Blastoise on the front and smaller artwork of Squirtle and Wartortle appearing around the mug.
Water-themed graphics cover the exterior, which uses a textured matte print finish and double-wall vacuum insulation to help keep drinks hot or cold.
- “Pokémon 32 Oz Travel Mug” (Bulbasaur Evolution Line) – $39.99
Venusaur takes center stage on a green travel mug covered with leafy patterns, joined by illustrations of Bulbasaur and Ivysaur from the same evolutionary family.
The design combines lighter green coloring around the upper body with a darker base, accompanied by a matching handle, lid and straw.
- “Pokémon 32 Oz Travel Mug” (Charmander Evolution Line) – $39.99
Charizard appears across the front of an orange tumbler surrounded by fiery artwork, with smaller illustrations of Charmander and Charmeleon completing the original Fire-type starter’s evolutionary line.
The mug includes a matching orange handle and reusable straw, alongside the same insulated construction and sealed drinking lid as the other versions.
- “Pokémon Mew & Mewtwo 32 Oz Travel Mug” – $39.99
The final large tumbler moves away from the Kanto starters with an eye-catching multicolored design featuring Mew and Mewtwo against a holographic-style background.
Its stainless-steel construction includes a side handle, leak-resistant straw and flip-and-sip lid, making it a matching drinkware option for the collection’s Mew and Mewtwo backpack.
- “Pokémon 16 Oz Can” (Pikachu) – $22.99
Pikachu also receives a smaller stainless-steel tumbler with a bright yellow finish, large character artwork and lightning bolt decorations.
The 16-ounce design replaces the travel mug’s straw and handle with a compact cylindrical body and screw-on lid featuring a sliding drinking opening.
- “Pokémon 16 Oz Can” (Squirtle + Evolutions) – $22.99
The Water-type design features Squirtle, Wartortle and Blastoise together on a blue background decorated with bubbles and water-inspired patterns.
Its double-wall vacuum-insulated construction helps maintain drink temperature, with a slim shape designed to fit standard cup holders.
- “Pokémon 16 Oz Can” (Charmander + Evolutions) – $22.99
Charmander, Charmeleon and Charizard appear together on an orange tumbler covered with flame-themed artwork, following the original Fire-type starter through all three evolutionary stages.
The stainless-steel container includes a leakproof threaded lid and a sliding drinking tab that can be closed when not in use.
- “Pokémon 16 Oz Can” (Bulbasaur + Evolutions) – $22.99
Bulbasaur, Ivysaur and Venusaur share the green version, surrounded by leaves and foliage that complement the Grass-type Pokémon’s evolutionary line.
The reusable tumbler includes a rubber coaster on its base and an insulated interior suitable for both hot and cold drinks.
- “Pokémon Mew & Mewtwo 16 Oz Can” – $22.99
Mew and Mewtwo return on another multicolored design, this time decorating a smaller stainless-steel container with holographic-style artwork.
It shares the 16-ounce capacity and sliding-lid design of the Kanto character tumblers, with vacuum insulation and a leakproof closure.
- “Pokémon Poké Ball Little Playmate 7 Qt Cooler” – $49.99
Igloo’s classic Playmate cooler receives a Poké Ball makeover, with the familiar red, white and black design covering its four exterior panels.
The hard-sided cooler holds approximately six liters, enough for nine standard drink cans, and retains its signature swing-open lid, molded carrying handle and insulated interior.
- “Pokémon Little Playmate 7 Qt Cooler” – $49.99
A second Playmate design features Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle, with each Pokémon receiving its own illustrated panel across the cooler’s exterior.
It shares the same six-liter capacity as the Poké Ball version, alongside Igloo’s button-operated lid and foam insulation.
- “Pokémon Poké Ball Crossbody Cooler” – $39.99
This compact insulated bag takes the shape of a three-dimensional Poké Ball, complete with a rounded exterior, adjustable shoulder strap and custom Pikachu zipper pulls.
Its interior can accommodate four standard drink cans, with a mesh compartment inside and an additional pocket on the back.
- “Pokémon Pikachu Square Lunch Cooler Bag” – $39.99
The bright yellow lunch bag features a large Pikachu-shaped front pocket, subtle lightning bolt patterns across the exterior and custom Poké Ball zipper pulls.
A padded shoulder strap decorated with Pikachu artwork accompanies the carrying handle, with enough insulated storage for nine cans.
- “Pokémon Mew & Mewtwo Top Grip Backpack” – $69.99
The largest soft cooler in the collection features reflective artwork of Mew and Mewtwo against a multicolored fabric exterior.
Its insulated main compartment can accommodate 24 standard drink cans, with padded backpack straps, additional storage pockets and mesh bottle holders along the sides.
The collection follows several other Pokémon collaborations involving insulated drinkware and food storage products during 2026.
In August, Pokémon partnered with Thermos for an extensive collection of insulated bottles, mugs and lunch bags featuring characters including Eevee, Ditto, Gengar and Mimikyu.
A separate collaboration with Owala also introduced five Pokémon-themed FreeSip water bottle designs in September, featuring Pikachu, Charizard, Gengar and other fan favorites as part of an exclusive US retail release.
