Konami’s New Demon Slayer Arcade Game Features Exclusive Collectible Cards
A brand-new Demon Slayer arcade experience is preparing to launch, giving fans another way to step into the world of the hit anime through competitive card-based battles.
Konami Arcade Games has confirmed that “Demon Slayer: Nichirin Battle Slash,” a new action card game, will begin rolling out to amusement centers and arcades across Japan in the coming weeks.
The game was first announced back in October 2025, and now fans can look forward to getting hands on with the latest addition to Demon Slayer’s ever growing video game line.
Inspired by the immensely popular Demon Slayer manga/anime, the game combines collectible cards with strategic combat mechanics that encourage players to build teams and adapt their tactics to different opponents.
Demon Slayer follows Tanjiro Kamado’s journey after his family is slaughtered by demons and his sister Nezuko is transformed into one of the creatures they hunt.
The series has become one of the most successful manga and anime properties of all time, with its characters and battles continuing to inspire a wide range of games, merchandise, and attractions.
In “Demon Slayer: Nichirin Battle Slash,” players will be able to collect two different categories of cards dispensed directly from the arcade machine during gameplay.
The first category consists of Battle Cards, while the second includes Support Cards that can be used to strengthen strategies and improve performance during matches.
Each card features its own battle type and unique skills, allowing players to experiment with different combinations depending on the challenges they face.
Building the right deck and selecting cards that complement one another will play a key role in gaining an advantage during battles.
The game also introduces a progression system through the use of a dedicated Memory Card.
When a Memory Card is used during play, the cards utilized in battle can grow stronger over time and gain levels through continued use.
As cards become more powerful, players will be able to take on increasingly difficult opponents that may have previously been out of reach.
A teaser promotional video for the arcade title was released on June 19, offering fans their first substantial look at the gameplay and card mechanics.
“Demon Slayer: Nichirin Battle Slash” is scheduled to begin appearing in amusement facilities throughout Japan from July 9 onwards.
