Pokémon and Beats Reveal New Special-Edition Bluetooth Speaker Featuring Pikachu and Mimikyu
Image by James RichardsonPokémon has officially teamed up with Beats to unveil a new special-edition wireless Bluetooth speaker inspired by two of the franchise’s most popular monsters.
The “Pokémon x Beats Pill” features Pikachu and Mimikyu in a specially designed version of Beats’ portable speaker, complete with custom Pokémon artwork, exclusive accessories and interactive packaging.

The collaboration arrives during Pokémon’s 30th anniversary celebrations in 2026, marking three decades since the original Pokémon Red and Green games introduced players to the Kanto region and its first 151 monsters.

Pikachu has been the franchise’s mascot since its early years, becoming one of the most famous video game characters worldwide.

Mimikyu made its debut in Pokémon Sun and Moon in 2016, quickly becoming a fan favorite thanks to its mysterious appearance and homemade disguise resembling Pikachu, which it wears in an attempt to make friends.

The new collaboration brings the unlikely pair together on Beats’ popular Pill speaker, which was redesigned and relaunched in 2024 with improved audio performance, battery life and connectivity.
For this special edition, the speaker features a custom gray finish with artwork of both Pokémon printed across its front grille.

Pikachu appears in its signature electric yellow, contrasting with a grayscale illustration of Mimikyu that extends the design across the speaker’s body.
The collection also introduces a removable gray carrying lanyard decorated with custom charms inspired by the Poké Ball, Beats’ signature logo and Pikachu’s lightning bolts.

This marks the first time Beats has included decorative charms with a Pill speaker, adding an exclusive accessory to the collaboration.

Even the packaging has received a Pokémon makeover, featuring a specially designed box with an interactive element that can be moved, alongside a set of exclusive Beats x Pokémon stickers.

The speaker retains the technical features of the standard Beats Pill, including up to 24 hours of battery life and an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance.

It also supports wireless pairing with another Beats Pill through Amplify Mode for increased volume or Stereo Mode for separate left and right audio channels.

A USB-C connection allows for lossless wired audio playback, with the speaker also capable of charging compatible smartphones using its internal battery.
The collaboration follows several other Pokémon-themed audio releases during 2026, including the miniature Game Boy music player created to celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary.

The “Pokémon Red & Pokémon Blue Game Music Collection: Game Boy Jukebox” received another limited-time US release earlier this month, giving fans a second opportunity to purchase the nostalgic device, which plays 45 tracks from the original games using miniature cartridges.

Gaming accessory manufacturer Razer also launched a Pokémon collaboration in July featuring Pikachu and Eevee, with the collection including a themed gaming headset, keyboard, mouse and matching mouse mat.

The “Pokémon x Beats Pill” will officially launch on October 15, 2026, at 8:00 AM PT, priced at $149.99 in the United States.

Sales will be restricted to the United States, United Kingdom and China, with availability through Apple’s online store in all three regions, alongside Target in the US, Argos in the UK and Douyin in China.
