Pokémon and McDonald’s Officially Confirm 30th Anniversary Happy Meal Collab as Toys and Cards Revealed

Pokémon and McDonald’s have officially confirmed their new US Happy Meal collaboration, revealing 15 collectible toys alongside a separate 15-card Pokémon TCG set as part of the franchise’s 30th anniversary celebrations.
The new “Pokémon Happy Meal” pairs one miniature Happy Meal box-shaped toy with two random Pokémon TCG cards, while the meal itself will be served in one of three larger box designs featuring Pikachu, Umbreon or Torchic.

Pokémon is celebrating 30 years since Pokémon Red and Green launched for the Game Boy in Japan in 1996, with the anniversary already producing everything from a huge 62-piece merchandise collection starring the original 151 Pokémon to new promotional TCG cards featuring Kyogre, Groudon and Giratina.

The official announcement follows the first images of all 15 toys that surfaced earlier this week, with Pokémon and McDonald’s now confirming the collection, its trading card details and a wider international rollout stretching into 2027.

Each plastic toy takes the shape of a miniature McDonald’s Happy Meal box and adapts it around an individual Pokémon, with the rear opening into a small frame that can be used to display one of the cards included during the promotion.

The complete toy collection features Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Weedle, Eevee, Umbreon, Torchic, Piplup, Munchlax, Minccino, Espurr, Rowlet, Sobble and Sprigatito, covering Pokémon introduced across multiple generations from Kanto through Paldea.

That makes the new US promotion the first McDonald’s Pokémon Happy Meal in several years to combine plastic character toys with trading cards, following more recent collaborations that concentrated primarily on the Pokémon TCG and paper-based extras.

The accompanying Pokémon TCG collection also contains 15 cards, with seven receiving foil treatments and each Happy Meal including two cards selected at random.
Pokémon’s official checklist includes Bulbasaur, Rowlet, Sprigatito, Charmander, Torchic, Squirtle, Piplup, Pikachu, Raichu, Clefairy, Slowpoke, Marill, Gengar, Eevee and Snorlax, with the cards numbered as their own 001/015 through 015/015 McDonald’s collection.

The final checklist also replaces some of the card information circulating before the official announcement, with previously reported Metagross, Palafin and Hawlucha cards absent from the 15 designs now published by Pokémon.

The Happy Meal cards are separate from the main “Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration” expansion, which launched worldwide in September with more than 150 cards and 30 different Pikachu designs created for the anniversary.

Pokémon and McDonald’s have already celebrated the anniversary together in Japan, where 12 different Happy Meal toys featuring 30 Pokémon in total launched in August with rollers, launchers, simple games, and interchangeable Pokémon panels.

The new Pokémon Happy Meal will launch at participating McDonald’s restaurants across the US on November 10, 2026, with the toys and cards available for a limited time while supplies last.

Australia, Canada, Fiji, France, New Zealand, and Spain are also scheduled to receive the promotion during November, before the rollout expands across dozens of additional countries in December and January, followed by Ireland and the UK in February 2027.
