Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is getting its first ever dedicated arcade game

Konami has announced that they are developing a new, card-based action game for arcades, based on the hit anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.
“Demon Slayer: Nichirin Battle Slash” is a card-action title where players collect character cards that are dispensed from the machine.

A key feature of the new arcade cabinet is a centrally-located “Nichirin Blade Controller.”

Players will use this special, sword-shaped controller to match the on-screen prompts, allowing them to perform a variety of attacks.

The gameplay is designed to create an immersive, realistic battle experience, as if the player is actually fighting as a character from the series, by using slashing and guarding actions.

A playable demo of the new game will be unveiled at the upcoming “AMUSEMENT EXPO 2025” which will be held in Tokyo.

The expo, which takes place on Friday, the 14th of November, and Saturday, the 15th of November, will be the first opportunity for fans to experience the new “Nichirin Blade Controller.”
In addition to the playable demo, special stage presentations will be held at the Konami booth.
The presentations on Friday will feature the hosts Miyu Hosoya and Ranze Fukushima, who will demonstrate the game’s features.

The stage show on Saturday will feature a special guest, Ndaho from the popular video creator team “Fischer’s,” who will play the game live.

The Saturday stage show is also scheduled to be live-streamed on the official Konami YouTube channel.
A number of other anime-related arcade titles are set to be on show at 2025’s Amusement Expo, with Bandai Namco also having announced that they will be debuting a new One Piece game at the event.
