Jujutsu Kaisen Surpasses 150 Million Copies Worldwide

The Jujutsu Kaisen manga franchise has officially achieved a major industry milestone, reporting a massive 150 million copies in circulation across the globe.
This impressive figure includes both physical volumes printed and all digital copies sold, highlighting the series’ vast reach and continuous growth.

The announcement of this new benchmark follows the series’ previous achievement of 100 million copies in circulation, a number it surpassed at the time the main manga concluded its run.
The original story, created by Gege Akutami, first launched in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.

It became a phenomenon throughout its serialization, which ran from 2018 until its conclusion in 2024.
The story of sorcerers and cursed spirits has since become a global sensation, with international distribution handled by Viz Media in both print and digital formats.

Shueisha also ensures global digital accessibility through its popular MANGA Plus service, making the hit series available worldwide.
The manga’s cultural impact has been significantly bolstered by its highly successful animated adaptation.

The franchise has inspired two full television anime seasons and two feature-length compilation films based on the second season’s events.
Fans eagerly await the upcoming third season of the anime, which is set to premiere soon.

Beyond the main series, a feature film titled The Jujutsu Kaisen 0, based on the prequel manga of the same name, opened in Japan some time ago.

The universe continues to expand with new content.
A spinoff manga titled Jujutsu Kaisen ≡, also known as Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, has begun a fixed short-term serialization, exploring side stories within the main continuity.
This auxiliary manga launched recently, and its first compiled volume is expected to ship in the coming days.
