Famitsu Reveals Sales Figures For March 9 To March 15 2026

Famitsu has released the latest physical software and hardware sales data for the Japanese market covering the week of March 9, 2026, to March 15, 2026.
The Nintendo Switch 2 title Pokémon Pokopia maintained its position as the top-selling game for the second consecutive week after moving 117,029 additional retail units.

This strong performance brings the lifetime sales for the latest Pokémon entry to a total of 658,400 copies since its launch on March 5, 2026.
Capcom saw a successful debut for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, which launched on March 13, 2026, and moved a combined total of 54,906 units across two platforms.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version of the Monster Hunter spin-off led the way with 37,718 units, while the PlayStation 5 version contributed 17,188 units to the opening week total.
Koei Tecmo also saw a new entry in the charts with the release of FATAL FRAME II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE on March 12, 2026.
The horror remake sold 12,115 units on PlayStation 5 and 6,436 units on Nintendo Switch 2 for a total debut of 18,551 retail copies.

On the hardware side, the Nintendo Switch 2 continues to dominate the market with 96,950 units sold during the week, bringing its lifetime total to over 4.8 million units.
The original Nintendo Switch family followed with 19,941 units sold, while the PlayStation 5 family recorded 12,886 sales for the period.

Microsoft’s Xbox Series consoles and Sony’s legacy PlayStation 4 rounded out the hardware charts with 296 units and 26 units sold, respectively.
