Every game announced during the July 2025 Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase

A new Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase was broadcast on Thursday, the 31st of July, 2025, revealing a wide array of new games and ports from third-party publishers for both the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch 2.

The presentation featured several major announcements from Japanese RPG developers.

Several new Nintendo Switch 2 games have been announced

Square Enix revealed Octopath Traveler 0, a new prequel in its HD-2D series that will feature character customization and town-building mechanics, scheduled for a December 4th release.

The company also officially confirmed the Switch 2 version of Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles, which is set to launch on the 30th of September.

Capcom also showcased its upcoming title, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, confirming a Switch 2 version of the turn-based RPG for release in 2026.

Several major action titles were also announced for Nintendo’s new hardware.

Bandai Namco confirmed that the 3D arena fighter Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO will be coming to both the Switch and Switch 2 on the 14th of November.

SEGA is also bringing two classic remakes, Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2, to the Switch 2 on the 13th of November.

The showcase included two releases, which were made available to purchase and play immediately after the presentation.

These were the cozy bonfire simulation game Chillin’ by the Fire and the Switch 2 Edition of the classic RPG remake, Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven.

In addition, free playable demos were released for the new HD-2D action RPG, The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, and the ninja action game, Shinobi: Art of Vengeance.
