Classic 3D platformer PAC-MAN WORLD 2 is being remade with new features

Bandai Namco and developer NOW PRODUCTION have announced PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC, a full remake of the classic 3D platforming adventure.
The original Pac-Man World 2, first released in the early 2000s, was a popular entry in the franchise that successfully translated the classic arcade hero into a 3D environment.

This new version, Re-PAC, is described as a complete remake, rebuilt from the ground up with a range of new features and modernized content.
The game’s plot begins when the Ghosts sneak into PAC-Village and steal the magical Golden Fruit, which accidentally unleashes the powerful ghost king, Spooky.

Pac-Man must then venture across PAC-LAND to reclaim the fruit and put a stop to Spooky’s plans.
The remake will feature fully updated, modern graphics, and it will also include expanded versions of the original game’s levels and a larger PAC-Village hub world.

Quality-of-life improvements have been implemented, and for the first time, the game will feature full voice acting.
A number of brand-new features have also been added to the game.

These include new actions for Pac-Man, updated boss battles, and new characters and collectibles to find.
A new customization system will also be included, as well as a new two-player mode.

The remake has been announced for a wide range of platforms, including the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam.

PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC is scheduled to launch worldwide on the 26th of September, 2025, with a Japanese release one day earlier on the 25th of September.
Bandai Namco has also announced that Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO is being ported to the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.

They have also revealed the first Katamari Damacy game in over 14 years, “Once Upon A Katamari”.
