US Pre-Orders Open for Godzilla x Digimon Pendulum COLOR Devices

Bandai Namco has confirmed North American availability for the latest exciting collaboration between the iconic Godzilla franchise and Digimon.

US pre-orders have officially opened for the brand-new Digimon Pendulum COLOR Godzilla Edition virtual pet devices, which were revealed back in late March.

Digimon originated in 1997 as a line of digital virtual pets and quickly evolved into a massive multimedia franchise encompassing anime, trading cards, and video games.

The series focuses on human partners raising digital lifeforms that battle and evolve into more powerful stages over time.

Godzilla first stomped onto Japanese cinema screens in 1954 as a walking metaphor for nuclear devastation.

Over seven decades, the legendary kaiju has starred in dozens of films, battling other massive titans and destroying countless miniature cityscapes.

This major crossover between the two historic properties is based on a terrifying scenario where Godzilla’s genetic material has infected the digital landscape.

The lore behind the crossover is that powerful G-Cells have eroded the Digicores of classic monsters, triggering bizarre new evolutionary paths.

Fans can raise a total of 57 different characters, including familiar digital companions and famous cinematic beasts.

The roster features brand new corrupted variants such as Greymon: “G” Erosion Mode, MetalGarurumon: “G” Erosion Mode, and BlackWarGreymon: “G” Erosion Mode.

Players can even utilize the signature Jogress function to combine specific corrupted partners to create the ultimate Omegamon: “G” Fusion Mode.

The virtual pets feature full-color LCD screens, USB Type-C charging capabilities, and built-in accelerometers to calculate training results based on how many times the unit is physically shaken.

Special crossover gameplay elements include a G-Cell Activation Value that determines evolution routes, alongside appearances by classic movie monsters like Anguirus during training sequences.

For the first time in the series, the outer shells utilize advanced UV printing technology to showcase exclusive artwork by acclaimed character designer Kenji Watanabe.
